As we come down the stretch of the recruiting process from seniors it is go time for proving what you have on the floor! These are the best of the best still on the board in 2022 Top Available Point Guards!

[player_tooltip player_id="771517" first="Jaylen" last="Drane"] (Simeon)

Current Ranking: #24

The state’s top senior combo guard has played like it in his final year of high school. He has been way more consistent than anytime in his career. Drane was a pivotal factor in their victory at Pontiac. The long and slender guard is great at slithering his way through the lane for scores in the paint using his athleticism to finish through and around defenders. The jump shot has definitely improved over the years to where he regularly makes mid-range shots and is a capable three point threat. I think the biggest growth in his game has been as a distributor. He is making passes and decisions especially in the half court that we haven’t seen out of him before. Intense defender that competes on that end. Looking very much like a low-major guy!

[player_tooltip player_id="925214" first="Davontae" last="Hall"] (Hyde Park)

Current Ranking: #26

Hall has been a PHI favorite over the last year. He brings electric athleticism in the open floor with the ball in his hands. Almost like a running back hitting the hole and getting to the basket. Such a great burst and speed to the cup. Decent shooter especially pulling up off the bounce. Solid playmaker and is a crafty defender. Low-major prospect at this stage.

[player_tooltip player_id="1140351" first="Jonah" last="Hinton"] (Naperville Central)

Current Ranking: #33

Hinton has certainly helped himself with his play the last six months dating back to July. Silky smooth guard that plays with a high IQ and gets others involved with his distributing. Makes high level decisions on the fly with his passing. Smooth scoring game being able to get where he wants on the floor to get his shot off. Rebounds and gets several steals a game as a stat sheet stuffer. Love him at the D2 level!

[player_tooltip player_id="1210381" first="Orlando" last="Thomas"] (Rolling Meadows)

Current Ranking: #38

Big and athletic combo guard that had made great strides in his game. The biggest has been the consistency on his jumper. When he shoots it as well as he had this season he is a force. Lefty has a clean shot and can play on and off the ball. Uses his size to see over the defense making solid decisions in the half court and contributes a little across the board. D2 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="1049092" first="Toby" last="Onyekonwu"] (Joliet West)

Current Ranking: #49

This transfer is just getting into uniform after having to sit out the early part of the season. He opened up with back to back 30+ point games in a Joliet West jersey. That’s what this scoring combo does best. Put it in the hoop at a high rate! Look for much more of that the rest of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id="996066" first="Dajuan" last="Bates"] (De La Salle)

Current Ranking: #50

Very much a roller coaster start to the season for Bates. Some monster games and others with not much production. Kind of mirror’s the Meteors play during the year. Wiry combo that brings intensity on the defensive end and is a microwave scorer that can heat up in a hurry!

[player_tooltip player_id="925196" first="Yogi" last="Oliff"] (Niles North)

Current Ranking: #51

Oliff is a name that might not get the pub that he deserves. Plus shooter especially off the catch. Good feel for the game at the point running his team in the half court. Excellent passer that makes great reads in the half court finding shooters all over the floor along with his big men inside.

[player_tooltip player_id="1106930" first="Marquel" last="Saleek"] (Willowbrook)

Current Ranking: #55

Saleek is one of the more unheralded scoring combos in the Chicagoland area. He is a slick ball handler that is at his best creating his own shot off the bounce for pull ups or when he needs to taking it all the way to the rack.

[player_tooltip player_id="1048730" first="Jaydin" last="Dunlap"] (Bolingbrook)

Current Ranking: #63

Dunlap is a high level small college recruit. He does a little bit of everything and really competes on both ends of the floor. Solid shot maker, crisp passer, and on ball defender.

[player_tooltip player_id="925193" first="Avyion" last="Morris"] (Simeon)

Current Ranking: #64

Morris brings the intensity on the defensive end! Smaller guard that gets into the opposing teams lead guard and causes them nightmares!
