Jackson Madewell (Cookeville) managed to score six points in seven minutes in a blowout loss to Knox Webb. He also collected three rebounds. In q victory over CAK, teammate [player_tooltip player_id="1335782" first="Bennett" last="Reeves"] scored five points with seven rebounds Friday night. After weeks away, [player_tooltip player_id="1317052" first="Colin" last="Ayers"] is back from injury, and Cookeville will surely benefit though his in-game shooting was rusty this weekend. Ayers is not a new name to readers though. He was featured last winter in an interview.

Corban Bowling (Fayette Academy) helped with ten points. Bowling’s Vikings will host the Fayette Academy Christmas Tournament in the days just after Christmas.

Brown Norton (Davidson Academy) played great in a victory over Battle Ground Academy. Norton finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds while his teammate Gerald Davis helped with 11 points. The final was 69-62.

Jay’Lynn Lawrence is really helping offset the scoring burden from [player_tooltip player_id="787649" first="Brandon" last="Miller"]...some. Miller is still required to manage 20-30 points just to keep his men in these challenging games across the nation (KY, Memphis, Oregon, etc.), but Lawrence’s scoring is crucial and helpful.

Aydan Rauton (South Doyle) racked up 27 points in a huge win over Knoxville Central.

Chris Barnes (Millington) had a big night Tuesday: 18 points, 4 rebs, 4 steals. In his last seven games, Barnes finished off six of them with double figures.

[player_tooltip player_id="1347545" first="Nate" last="Moore"] (McNairy Central) is putting together a quietly fantastic junior season. He is an excellent three-pointer shooter, particularly off the catch. He finished 11 of McNairy’s first 13 points against Jackson Central last Tuesday. For the year, Nate is averaging north of 16 ppg with nearly 30 made three-pointers. Moore is more than a classic catch-and-shoot guy though. He gets into problem areas and really creates problems, often leading to fouls.

Friday night Clinton High met a Mr. Basketball candidate [player_tooltip player_id="1029818" first="Trey" last="Morrow"], without their own ([player_tooltip player_id="1176630" first="Jackson" last="Garner"]). As many veterans as the Dragons dress and feature, winning without [player_tooltip player_id="1176630" first="Jackson" last="Garner"] is a completely different animal. Thanks to Lane Harrison and the other seniors, they emerged victorious.

[player_tooltip player_id="1311973" first="Jaden" last="Webb"] (Tennessee Prep) accumulated 13 points and 14 rebounds Saturday. His Diplomats lost 59-55 to Chicago Prep.

[player_tooltip player_id="1019304" first="Rodney" last="Broadnax"], a player that missed almost his entire sophomore season to injury, is big in a big way. In a triple overtime loss to Tyner Academy, Broadnax pulled down six rebounds and scored 19 points. Broadnax was featured a handful of times years back, but this is a new basketball life for the healed warrior.

For Riverdale, [player_tooltip player_id="1140762" first="Maddux" last="Bodenhamer"] continues to put up the numbers nightly.
