Part 2 of the ’And 1’ series will focus on LPS teams "And 1" bonus player to their bucket (top player)! Similar to the Omaha metro area, Lincoln is showing to have some serious talent and they’re eager to show the OPS schools how they have closed the talent gap!

*Stat averages as of 12/19

Lincoln East

The Bucket: [player_tooltip player_id="1052926" first="Carter" last="Tempelmeyer"] | PG/SG/SF | 6’2" 170lbs | Jr | 17.3 Pts | 3.0 Reb | 1.8 Steals | 51% FG

Brayden is a guy you love to have on your team. He has a tenacity on both ends of the floor and has a good basketball IQ. He does a great job getting others involved and can pull up from long range to make teams pay. Lincoln East is a gritty team and Brayden fits in perfectly!

Lincoln High

The Bucket: [player_tooltip player_id="1165695" first="Collin" last="Nick"] | SF | 6’5" 190lbs | Jr | 13 Pts | 2.0 Reb | 2.5 Ast | 1.8 Steals | 41% FG

Bryson has a big solid frame and does a great job using it to grab rebounds. His physicality allows him to create space for easy looks and has tremendous hustle moving up and down the court. Against Millard North, who has arguably the best big man in state he scored 13pts and grabbed 13 boards.

Lincoln North Star

The Bucket: Brennon Clemmons Jr | SG | 6’4" 205lbs | Jr | 13.3 Pts | 8.0 Reb | 1.8 Blocks | 42% FG

And 1: Lynden Bruegman | SG | 6’2" 180lbs | Sr | 11.5 Pts | 6.0 Reb | 2.3 Steal | 52% FG

Lynden is a tough guard who has active hands. His football background brings a grind mentality that allows him to get big for some rebounds and challenge offenses on the defensive end. Lynden has the ability to score off the dribble and from downtown.

Lincoln Northeast

The Bucket: [player_tooltip player_id="1306613" first="Christian" last="Winn"] | SF | 6’4" 180lbs | Jr | 13.5 Pts | 3.5 Reb | 3.0 Ast | 2.0 Steals | 63% FG

And 1: [player_tooltip player_id="1235615" first="Gatran" last="Gatnoor"] | PG/SG | 6’2" 170lbs | Sr | 10.3 Pts | 3.5 Reb | 1.3 Steals | 54% FG

Northeast is a good defensive team. Gatran has long arms and quick feet which makes it hard for defenders to get around him. He has a solid stroke from the 3 point line and can knock down shots from 17 foot and out. Gatran is a big reason his team has gotten off to a hot start!

Lincoln Pius X

The Bucket: [player_tooltip player_id="981708" first="Sam" last="Hastreiter"] | SF | 6’7" 200lbs | Sr | 16.2 Pts | 7.7 Reb | 1.2 Ast | 63% FG

And 1: [player_tooltip player_id="981700" first="Jared" last="Bohrer"] | PG/SG | 6’2" 175lbs | Sr | 13.7 Pts | 1.5 Reb | 2.0 Ast | 45% FG

Jared is a scorer! He can pull up coming down the court or off screens. He has a lot of confidence in his shot and his range is DEEP. Jared is the type of guard who can give you an instant offensive surge and spread the floor with his shooting capabilities.

Lincoln Southeast

The Bucket: [player_tooltip player_id="1253988" first="Taye" last="Moore"] | PG/SG | 6’0" 150lbs | So | 15.2 Pts | 4.0 Reb | 2.8 Ast | 2.5 Stl | 38% FG

And 1: [player_tooltip player_id="1018714" first="Wade" last="Voss"] | F | 6’6" 185lbs | Jr | 11.2 Pts | 6.0 Reb | .8 Blocks | 58% FG

Wade has a more expanded role this year and is taking advantage. He runs the middle of the floor well on both offense and defense. He has a good shot-blocking instinct and will truly benefit from another year in the weight room while developing his offensive package. Wade and Taye could could be quite the duo in 2022.

And 1: [player_tooltip player_id="981706" first="Ben" last="Hunzeker"] | G | 6’3" 190lbs | Sr | 10.2 Pts | 5 Reb | 4.7 Ast | 3.3 Steals | 46% FG

Ben is a scrappy do it all type of guard. He has excellent defensive hands and an effort that sparks his teammates. Ben’s first instinct is not to score but he can pull up from just about anywhere on the floor and shoot with a high level of accuracy. He is the type of player who feeds off making the right play and helping teammates get open looks. A genuine team player who leads by example!
