Enjoy!</strong></em></p> <p>The Tournament Of Champions has come and gone and Del City captured the tourney title with an exciting 59-49 win over Memorial in a top five battle between Class 5A powerhouses. After trailing 20-5 following the first quarter, the Eagles would rally back and eventually ran away with the tourney title. Keep it locked into Prep Hoops Oklahoma where we continue to have plenty of post-tourney coverage. In this post, we take a look at some of the sharpshooters from the tournament. These guys absolutely filled it up from beyond the arc in the BOK Center this week.</p> <ul> <li><a href="https://prephoops.com/2021/12/toc-all-tournament-team/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>ICYMI: MVP &amp; All Tournament Team</strong></a></li> </ul> <hr /> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1049321" first="Caleb" last="Leslie"] - 2022 Guard - Owasso</strong></p> <p>Owasso was led throughout the tournament by senior big man [player_tooltip player_id="955380" first="Caden" last="Fry"] but the Rams also got some great play from their guards throughout the tournament. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="1049321" first="Caleb" last="Leslie"] was lights out from beyond the arc and was certainly not afraid to pull the trigger throughout the three days in Tulsa. Leslie ended up leading all players in the tourney field in three-point attempts and he finished with just over 42% from beyond the arc. That 1-2 punch of Leslie on the outside and Fry down in the post was a problem for teams and will continue to be an issue throughout the season. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1164862" first="Jonah" last="Jenkins"] - 2022 Guard - Cashion</strong></p> <p>Cashion came up empty-handed in Tulsa as they fell to Hydro-Eakly in the seventh place game and had to walk away with an 0-3 record in the tourney. However, the Wildcats are still going to be one of the top teams in Class 2A and will be a tough out behind the 1-2 punch of [player_tooltip player_id="1164862" first="Jonah" last="Jenkins"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1164863" first="Vance" last="Raney"] at guard. Jenkins absolutely filled it up from beyond the arc and was one of the best shooters in the tournament. He finished 9-18 from 3PT land and was tied with another player for best 3PT percentage for a player taking more than 10 3-pointers. </p> <p><strong>Jude Malhi - 2022 Guard - Victory Christian</strong></p> <p>Victory Christian fell in the fifth place game to Crossings Christian on Wednesday but the Conquerors stayed in the fight throughout the game. In addition to superstar [player_tooltip player_id="1158048" first="Joshua" last="Udoumoh"] doing his thing, the Conquerors had sharpshooting from senior guard Jude Malhi. The senior finished with eight made three pointers throughout the tournament and half of them came in the fifth place game against Crossings Christian. Victory Christian has some very underrated depth behind Udoumoh and Malhi's shooting abilities gives them another threat on the offensive side of the ball. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1357063" first="Percy" last="Green"] - 2023 Guard - Del City</strong></p> <p>Del City has one of the best teams in the state and the emergence of junior guard [player_tooltip player_id="1357063" first="Percy" last="Green"] during the tournament gives them even more firepower. The Eagles ended up winning the tournament title behind stellar guard play from [player_tooltip player_id="1356632" first="Jaedon" last="Foreman"] and big man [player_tooltip player_id="1068562" first="Brandon" last="Garrison"]. But the Eagles have been missing that true threat from beyond the arc early on this season. Green is hoping to fill that role and he had a good showing this week. He finished 9-19 from beyond the arc and came out blazing in their first round win on Monday. If he keeps this up, the Eagles will be tough to stop.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="967378" first="Seth" last="Pratt"] - 2023 Guard - Memorial</strong></p> <p>The only threat Del City might have in Class 5A is the team that they rallied to beat in the TOC title game with Memorial. And the Chargers are right there with the Eagles in terms of talent and Memorial certainly has a deep roster to go with it. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id="967378" first="Seth" last="Pratt"] has been one of the best shooters in the state for over a year now and that did not change at the TOC. Pratt finished tied with [player_tooltip player_id="1164862" first="Jonah" last="Jenkins"] for the best 3PT percentage at 50% for shooters taking more than 10 three pointers. He went 9-18 as well from beyond the arc. We said before that the Del City-Memorial game could be a 5A title preview and it's looking that way now.</p>
