Tarkanian Classic Day 3 (Standouts )

<p>There was some more great play out of a lot of prospects out in Las Vegas as you can see coaches really looking to get better as they ramped up their schedule playing some out of state talent. </p> <p><strong>6’2 G [player_tooltip player_id="1337838" first="Truman" last="Burningham"] || Timpview High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Truman displayed some tough guard play against some tough defenders. Lee, AL had some physical players that could move. Truman had some nice wiggle plays where he got loose and made it to the rim with some tough finishes. While there are a lot of good guards in the class of 2022 in Utah, Truman is another one to add to the list. </p> <p><strong>5’10 PG [player_tooltip player_id="968774" first="Jake" last="Payne"] || Timpanogos High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>When it came down to the end pf the game Timpanogos had a shot to seal it but they needed a defensive stop and Jake was that guy not only did he get a huge steal with 30 seconds left, he got another defensive stop with 8 seconds left and he was in the mix for a final defensive stand as time expired. Great defensive performance as he displayed some lateral quickness. Really liked the way he got out of his side to side slide and went into a sprint to stop the offensive player from getting by him. Great win against Arcadia, CA. </p> <p><strong>6’8 W [player_tooltip player_id="967725" first="Jaxon" last="Heiden"]|| Alta High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Jaxon shows a different an aspect of his game every time out. Jaxon was chasing down blocks on one end and on the other end he was dishing out assist and he was finishing through contact. On the block he reads the defense and he is looking over his shoulder for his teammates. Really quick spin over his right shoulder. In transition he really runs the floor and fills lanes well. Always a threat to hit a trail 3. Great prospect to keep an eye on. </p> <p><strong>6’0 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1057035" first="Ace" last="Reiser"] || Bingham High School || 2024 ||</strong></p> <p>While Bingham was playing against a team that was really good Ace showed some flashes of smart and high level play. He was putting the ball up early and high off the glass against 7-footers. He was getting by quick defensive guards with his change of speed. Really shifty as he got in the lanes and created for other players as well. </p> <p><strong>6’4 W Lucas Bacikalo || APA-Draper || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Lucas is an active player that plays on the blocks and at the high post area. Lucas is active crashing the boards. Especially the offensive glass. He gets back on defense and can play multiple positions. </p>
