Homestead Gets Payback on Carmel for Their Regional Defeat
In one of the premier games of the Allstate Sneakers for Santa Showcase at Brownsburg, we saw a rematch of the top two teams in the state from last season as Homestead took on Carmel. Fletcher Loyer Fletcher Loyer 6'4" | SG Homestead | 2022 State #108 Nation IN , as he has been all season, was the story throughout this entire game. Loyer would finish the game with 25 of the Spartans’ 48 points on 8-15 from the floor. The bigger story though was the lack of offense from Carmel. The Greyhounds would shoot just 36% from the floor and 27% from three, and they also committed 13 turnovers. This was definitely due, in part, to the terrific defense played by the entire Homestead squad, but it is still very unprecedented to see from a Carmel ball club. Peter Suder Peter Suder 6'5" | SG Carmel | 2022 State #227 Nation IN would lead the way for the Greyhounds in the loss with 13 points. With Carmel dropping to 2-2, they have lost 2 of the first four games for the second time in three seasons, something they had not done since the 2002-2003 season. Both of these teams will be back in action next on Friday as Carmel will host Noblesville and Homestead will travel to Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger.
Zionsville Improves to 4-0 with Their Second Overtime Win in As Many Games
Coming off of a double-overtime victory over Westfield, Zionsville travelled all the way to the Ohio River to take on New Albany. Zionsville was in control for the majority of the first three quarters with the lead staying around seven points for the majority of the game. However, in the final quarter, New Albany put up a 20 point quarter to end up taking a 53-50 lead with 17 seconds to go. However, Zionsville’s Johnathan Macabee hit a big corner three with under 10 seconds remaining to tie the game and send it to overtime. In the overtime period, it was all Zionsville as they would hold on for a 63-56 victory. Zionsville is now 4-0 with wins by 3, 1, 2 in double overtime, and 7 in overtime. Zionsville will travel to Lawrence Central on Friday for their next game, and New Albany will travel to Floyd Central on Friday as they look to bounce back.
Floyd Central Forces OT at the Buzzer and Holds On for the Win

Tripure fired a baseball pass to Celichowski, who caught, turned to his right, and sunk the game-tying hook shot at the buzzer. The Highlanders would go on to win the game in overtime, 64-60 over Evansville Harrison to improve to 2-0 on the year.
