The Orlando Health Hoopfest hosted at Windermere Prep under the supervision of Coach Brian Hoff had big time matchups. We will break down the coverage of the 12 team slate into two categories: home and away. The home group has high-level underclassmen, outstanding performances from seniors, and an athletic unsigned 2022 prospect that needs more attention. Without further ado, let’s get into our standouts.

Ocoee

[player_tooltip player_id="1296035" first="Michal" last="Vyskocil"] is a 6’3 senior combo guard. He showed leadership skills in his time on the court, orchestrating the team’s offense against the zone. Vyskocil’s a consistent volume shooter from deep that knocked down two corner threes and another off a pin down matching his season per game average of three per game. He finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds.

Taylor Douglas gave Ocoee great energy. He’s an athletic wing that made his presence felt on the boards and with a putback.

The Village

It’s easy to see why [player_tooltip player_id="709259" first="Sam" last="Walters"] is coveted by top programs. He’s a legitimate 6’9 forward with elite movement skills. He covers a lot of ground with long strides making up 18 feet on a single power dribble for a layup. Once the 2023 prospect adds strength to his frame, the moves he made at the rim will definitely be dunks.

6’2 guard Jacory Jackson did a good job finishing around the rim. He’s a good slasher and cutter.

Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="1163390" first="Alvon" last="Isaac"] is a quick playmaking guard that dazzled with his passing. He passes guys open and has real zip on the ball.

Senior Gian Rolon stands 6’4 with a stocky frame. He shot threes with confidence even though they didn’t fall against Chiles. He’s a scrappy defender that collected steals, a block, and swarmed ball handlers in halfcourt traps. His size and strength allowed him to guard 2-4 against Chiles.

Windermere

[player_tooltip player_id="812622" first="Jalen" last="Debose"] shot well from three in a blowout win against Lakewood Ranch. The 2023 prospect hit a catch and shoot wing 3 and pull up 3 in his ten point scoring output.

[player_tooltip player_id="709255" first="Sean" last="Stewart"] continues to draw the eye of college coaches at showcase events. He shined on the defensive end by blocking shots and grabbing rebounds. He finished above the rim and showed a crafty mid-range game on his way to 21 points.

CFCA

Unsigned senior [player_tooltip player_id="546226" first="Jamar" last="Houston"] is an explosive above the rim athlete. He has next level speed with the ball in his hands but excelled off the ball against Bishop Snyder. Houston made a backdoor cut for an oop dunk and hit an outside shot. He was fouled on another attempt from deep and knocked down all three free throws.

Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="1055796" first="Ta’veon" last="Jones"] is a blur with the ball in his hands. He has a quick handle that marries well with his speed, allowing him to get where he wants on the court. His speed threw off the timing of Bishop Snyder’s shot blockers. As the game went on he hit floaters and acrobatic finishes over an athletic group of forwards. He hit mid range pull-up to round his performance. Jones really got into ball handlers on defense. He sits in their pockets where quick hands and good defensive instincts to turn that pressure into transition points. He finds cutters in the halfcourt with his court vision.

Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="1163617" first="Cameron" last="Simpson"] is one to monitor going forward. He’s already an athletic 6’6 wing with three level scoring potential. He hit three threes against Bishop Snyder and one dribble pull-ups on his way to 21 points.

Senior Felipe Oliveira is a smart, hard playing guard. He scored ten points hitting a three, but his real value came on energy plays. He started breaks after grabbing big rebounds to spark the transition attack.

Lake Highland Prep School

[player_tooltip player_id="814925" first="Jared" last="Berry"]’s speed in passing lanes resulted in several turnovers for the opposing team. In the halfcourt, he hit pull-ups going right.

Six or more made threes in a game is a norm for [player_tooltip player_id="712136" first="Brice" last="Sensabaugh"]. Big stages bring the best out of a guy averaging 30+ in showcase games. He has deep range on his jumper, shoots a super high percentage and makes it look easy. I’ve been saying this on the weekly basis Ohio State has them one.

Windermere Prep

Dartmouth signee [player_tooltip player_id="956830" first="Jayden" last="Williams"] started the game hot from deep hitting back-to-back corner threes. He hit his third in a row from the wing. Williams is going to be a tough wing with good athleticism for the position in his time with Big Green. He competed well with 5-star big man [player_tooltip player_id="814902" first="Ernest" last="Udeh"] Jr. grabbing boards and earning a block at the rim. He scored above the rim on two thunderous drives.

[player_tooltip player_id="1306058" first="Zachiah" last="Clark"] is a tough lay up maker. He adjusts to defenders in mid-air to get a clean look at the rim. He’s a good lead guard overall whose passing keeps the flow of the offense. Clark is an unselfish player. He passed up shots to find his teammates in their spots.

[player_tooltip player_id="812632" first="Eduardo" last="Placer"] didn’t get going until late. Yet Placer put points on the board the entire game with a catch and shoot three and floaters.
