Here we are looking at MIAA high school games and players to watch on Monday December 20th.

Burlington (4-0) at Winchester (1-1)

Shane Mahoney, Burlington, Position PG/SG, Class 2022

Shane is coming off a 4 three pointer performance in a win vs Stoneham. Shane is a quick guard who gets to his spots fast, and can score in a multitude of ways. Shane is a very solid three point shooter. He can spot up and score of the dribble. Shane is a player to watch in the game on Monday, as Burlington looks to continue their undefeated start.

Vaikunthan mathiyalakan, Winchester, Position SF, Class 2022

The stretch forward has had games this season of three three pointers against Arlington, and 5three pointers against Belmont. Vaikunthan has a good inside and outside game. He runs the floor well, and is also good in transition. Vaikunthan also is a good rebounder, and always follows his shot.

Brookline Vs Catholic Memorial

A lot of good players over the years have come from both Brookline and Catholic memorial.

Andrew Alekseyenko, Brookline, PF/C, Class 2024

Andrew is a double double threat every time he is on the court. Andrew is a big and strong player who can play inside and post up, and also is a very good three point shooter. Andrews ability to stretch the floor, with his size makes him a very tough matchup.

Eoin Morrissey, Catholic Memorial, Position G, Class 2022

Eoin impacts the game in many ways. He plays hard on both the offense side and the defense side of the ball. Eoin is a very good defender, who can guard multiple positions. Eoin gets a bunch of blocks and steals, and when he doesn’t force a turnover he still makes it tough for the offense. Eoin is a high energy player. On the offensive side of the ball, Eoin makes a lot of tough finishes at the rim, and is able to finish strong with both hands.
Mansfield VS Foxborough

Mansfield has been a strong program over the years. They recently won the Division 1 state championship in 2018. Foxborough has also had a lot of player who went on to play at the college level.

Chris Hill, Position PF, Class 2023

Chris Hill is a forward who is strong and built. He can stretch the floor with his shooting, and also be a slasher. He can protect the paint, and has good post moves as well. Chris has a good solid all around skill set, in combination with size. With mansfield graduating a few keep players, I would think Chris will take a bigger role this season.
