Crane 70 Richards 37
Crane jumped to a commanding lead with a strong performance from senior guard Terrance Patton. Patton is a physical guard who can get in the lane and make things happen. Terrance is a juco prospect that can score in multiple ways but is more useful when getting to the rim. He led his team in scoring with 17 points and 6 assists.
Butler Prep 75 Holy Trinity 45
The second game of the day had a slow start but picked it up as 2022 guard Dionta Banks got it going from deep. Dionta is a smaller guard who has range on his shot. He made several threes in this lopsided victory for Butler Prep. Banks led his team with 16 points and hitting 4 threes in the game.
Julian 71 Harlan 66
The host school jumped out early on Harlan with full court pressure causing multiple turnovers to create an early lead. Harlan 2024 6’8 big man Jerome Thornton started to go to work on the inside. He and his team would take a one point lead in the third quarter. At that point Julian 2022 guard Demetrius Tulloch came off the bench and scored 16 points while dishing 6 assists. Tulloch put pressure on the defense by getting to the free throw line often in the second half.
UC Woodlawn 49 Urban Prep 46
In what started out as a blowout slowly shaped into a tough game for both teams. UC Woodlawn was led by smooth shooting 2025 Brendon Johnson. Johnson is a very shifty guard who shot the ball pretty well in a very intense first round game. His ability to make shots was a huge factor down the stretch as he scored 16 points in the victory. In the loss Urban Prep 6’7 2022 wing Tyron Jackson looked very intriguing for some small school college. Very athletic and fluid handle at his size can be used on the next level he finished with 15 points 7 rebounds and 5 assists
