<p><strong>Fargo, ND - </strong>The Sabers from Bismarck Legacy made the trip across the state for their first game of the season. It was all Spartans on Saturday. Fargo North took the lead early and dominated. North showed that they have a deep bench and that they are the real deal. Below we will look at the impressive players from Saturday’s game.</p>

<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>IMPRESSIVE SPARTANS</strong></span></h3>

<p>14 points, 4 three-pointers. He started the game with a 3-pointer to take the early lead. Isaac made multiple college-range 3-pointers. He also had multiple made 3-pointers in transition. Cody showed a smooth running floater in traffic. I like how quickly he sets his feet before his shot. He can put up points in a hurry. </p>

<p>15 points, 5-6 FT’s. He fights for every rebound. I loved his patience in the post, his shot fakes, and how he sealed deep in the paint. Carter has a soft finishing touch and he is a solid FT-shooter. I like how he absorbs contact and finishes physically. Carter moves very well without the ball, after his man helps he finds the open spot for a shot. Carter was great at putting back offensive rebounds. Nobody from the Sabers could match his strength around the basket. </p>

<p>22 points, 4 three-pointers, 8-8 FT’s. He was sensational from the charity stripe. He was great at shooting triples off the dribble, with a step-back, and off the pass. Sem stood out with his hesitation-move. Jeremiah has amazing hang-time. On defense, he blocked shots and deflected passes. He dropped many dimes when he was attacking the basket, the help side would step up and Sem found the open man. Jeremiah had multiple fullcourt finishes, he is a superior athlete. He can go coast to coast in the blink of an eye. Sem is going to have a special season for the Spartans. </p>

<p>10 points, 2 three-pointers. He is a very serious scoring threat. His 3-point shot looked good in the first half. Loberg scored off pull-up jumpers and by spacing the floor and hitting in catch-and-shoot situations. Luke has great footwork and hands.</p>

<p>5 points, 1-2 FT’s. He had an impressive steal which led to a physical finish in transition. I liked the way Kallod jumped stopped and gathered himself. From there he used a shot fake to draw a foul and get to the line. </p>

<p>He is a physical defender and hard worker. Haugo is a gifted athlete. </p>
<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>IMPRESSIVE SABERS</strong></span></h3>

<p>11 points, 1 three-pointer, 2-4 FT’s. This lefty is an impressive and very strong athlete. He battled all game on the boards and Kellogg snagged many O-boards. On defense, Jaxon had an impressive pass deflection on an in-bounds play. In transition, Kellogg had a huge tomahawk block that sent the ball flying out of bounds. He showcased multiple physical finishes where he kissed the shot off the glass. Jaxon had a nice basket cut bucket. Kellogg was the best player for the Sabers on Saturday. </p>
<p><strong>Kiefer Glenn (2022) |6-2 F|</strong></p>
<p>6 points, 2-4 FT’s. He showed a quality 15-foot jumper. Glenn had an impressive physical spin move that led to a bucket. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1046353" first="Zander" last="Albers"] (2022) |6-4 F|</strong></p>
<p>2 points. His basket came from a steal and a fullcourt finish. Despite not shooting well, Albers has a very nice jump shot with excellent elevation. He showed off his athleticism with a blocked shot. Zander is a quick leaper with a great vertical. </p>

<p>10 points, 1 three-pointer, 5-8 FT’s. He showed a very impressive euro-step finger roll finish in traffic. Joey nailed a 3-pointer to start the second half. He got to the free-throw line a ton. Buzalsky battled all game no matter the score. He also took an impressive charge. </p>
<p><strong>Brayden Weidner (2023) |5-9 G|</strong></p>
<p>3 points, 1 three-pointer. Brayden has a good-looking shot and he drilled a corner 3-ball. </p>

<p>7 points, 1 three-pointer. He has a nice-looking jump shot with smooth form and balance. Wetzel is a good athlete that ran hard and scored in transition. </p>
