Ending the Year on Top

<p><strong>#1 Davis Darts (6A)</strong></p> <p>Davis has not really been challenged this year and they have actually gone out of their comfort zone by playing out of state and running the table in Arizona. The only game that seemed to be a good game was when they faced off against the #1 team in 5A in Olympus as Olympus proved to be for real as they gave Davis a scare. [player_tooltip player_id="934473" first="Rex" last="Sunderland"] has turned it up as of late, especially on the defensive end. [player_tooltip player_id="968050" first="Colby" last="Simms"] has been lights out as one of the best shooting PG’s in the state. Henry Ihrig has been injured which makes their run more impressive as they have seen excellent play from Sawyer Cotrell and [player_tooltip player_id="968066" first="Tate" last="Garff"]. They have a loaded roster with experience. </p> <p><strong> #1 Olympus Titans (5A)</strong></p> <p>Talk about a team that has a complete roster. Olympus is led by three players but they have a lot of talent that can come in off the bench and give them a punch. Really impressed with the elevated game of [player_tooltip player_id="1057020" first="Jordan" last="Barnes"]. He has been a major reason that Jack Wistercil and [player_tooltip player_id="1057034" first="Dutch" last="Dowdell"] get the ball in great scoring positions. Jack has been a load on the blocks and he just gets better. He is a good find at the D1 level and then you look at one of the best SG with positional size in the Class of 2024 in [player_tooltip player_id="1057034" first="Dutch" last="Dowdell"]. Really hoping that Olympus and Orem face off in a 5A final. </p> <p><strong>Class of 2022 # 1 6’5 G [player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"] || Farmington high School || BYU ||</strong></p> <p>Might not be lighting it up on the scoreboard but he is still putting up 19 PPG. He is being face guarded and double teamed all game and he still gets by defenders. He has really improved his passing this year. Love to see his already elite game continue to grow. </p> <p><strong>Class of 2023 # 1 6’11 SF [player_tooltip player_id="969630" first="Bron" last="Roberts"] || Timpanogos High School ||</strong></p> <p>Was a big time head turner at the Tarkanian Classic. He is roaming in that 2-3 zone and it is helping his stats defensively. He is probably averaging 5 to 6 blocks a game easy. With the top dog in the 2023 class leaving to Montverde, Bron takes over that top spot. </p> <p><strong>Class of 2024 # 1 6’10 SF Aiden Sherrell || Wasatch Academy High School ||</strong></p> <p>There is a new kid on the block and not only is he good he is one of the best players in his class as the team that is already good is getting better in Wasatch Academy. Aiden is going to be the next great big to come out of Wasatch Academy. </p> <p><strong>Class of 2025 # 1 6’5 G [player_tooltip player_id="1146662" first="JJ" last="Apathjang"] || RSL Academy ||</strong></p> <p>This kid gives you a taste of what is coming over at RSL Academy as JJ is starting to really shine, especially from the outside. He is a pup and he is going to get better every time he steps on that floor. Getting great varsity minutes as a young freshman. </p>
