Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles: Preview

<p><strong>Aberdeen, SD - </strong>The Golden Eagles have two games under their belt so far this season. Aberdeen Central is off to a nice start and a perfect 2-0 record. They beat Rapid City Central 58-51 and they took care of business vs. Rapid City Stevens 71-46. Read below for information from coach Brent Norberg, insight on the players, and the Golden Eagle schedule. </p> <h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Team comments from head coach <em>Brent Norberg</em></strong></span></h4> <p>"<em>We feel if we can take care of the ball and rebound we can be very competitive in Class AA. Rohlfs has started at point guard for Aberdeen Central since he was a sophomore. </p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="968162" first="Alec" last="Voegele"] (2022) |6-5 F|</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Last season stats: 12.3 PPG  6.1 RPG. Alec is a very good athlete who can score from the inside and outside. Voegele is one of the best rebounders that coach Norberg has ever coached.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="963750" first="Spencer" last="Barr"] (2023) |5-11 SG|</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Last season stats: 3.2 PPG. A very skilled player with a desire to be as good as he can be. Barr is a great combo guard. Spencer is very quick, has a picture-perfect jumpshot, and he creates for others.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="968156" first="Noah" last="Behrends"] (2022) |6-7 F|</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Last season stats: 9.2 PPG 4.5RPG. Noah has good size with the ability to play on the perimeter and in the post. Behrends can score at the rim and consistently hit jumpers. AJ is a great defender and really good in transition.
