Today, we are going to switch it up a bit and I’ll give you 5 stars from Thursday.
Amari Allen Amari Allen 6'2" | PG Hamtramck | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, Hamtramck)
There isn’t much that Allen doesn’t offer as a point guard and he had all aspects of his game on display in a win last night. Allen finished the night with a double-double scoring 24 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. It didn’t end there though because his perimeter defense was on display as well. Allen should be considered a must see prospect in Michigan.
Damaryon Fishburn Damaryon Fishburn 6'4" | CG Trillium Academy | 2023 State MI (2023, CG, Trillium Academy)
Fishburn needs and deserves more looks from college coaches…ASAP. He had his influence all over the stat sheet in an impressive 87-58 win over Parkway Christian. Fishburn finished the night with a 33 point and 10 rebound double-double. He also created for and dished to his teammates, racking up 8 assists.
Mason Malpass Mason Malpass 6'3" | SG East Jordan | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, East Jordan)
Malpass was an obvious leader in a really nice 67-46 victory over Gaylord St. Mary last night. He scored 14 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists. It wasn’t just his stats that were impressive though. He was steady and efficient with the ball and initiated the offense with ease.
Calvin Marshall Calvin Marshall 6'6" | SF Western International | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Western International)
Marshall is so explosive off the wing and that aspect of his game was on full display last night. He was the go to guy in a solid win over Harper Creek. Marshall exploded for 29 points and also pulled down 7 rebounds. He ran the court with speed and fluidity and was tough to slow down in the open floor. Marshall is exciting, and a big time momentum grabber, when he finishes at the rim.
Durreaun Polk (2024, PG, Advanced Tech)
Polk is creating a name for himself as one of the top producers off the bench in the state so far this season. Last night, in a 64-50 win over Bradford Academy, he finished with 15 points. Polk is turning himself into a big time piece of the puzzle off the bench.
