Below is a preview of five games we are looking forward to watching the week of December 19th.

Sun., Dec. 19th…Acad of New Church vs. Cross Christian Acad (DE): The 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Delaware is the setting for this fantastic matchup. ANC’s three headed monster of point phenom [player_tooltip player_id="1119147" first="Elmarko" last="Jackson"], scoring wing [player_tooltip player_id="991213" first="Anthony" last="McCall"] and sniper [player_tooltip player_id="1119156" first="Deywilk" last="Tavarez"] take the floor against Cross Christian’s 6’6” wing Jordan Butler and elite bucket getter Elijah Credle.

Tue., Dec. 21st…Lower Merion at Conestoga: Two of Pennsylvania’s premier big men - [player_tooltip player_id="991216" first="Demetrius" last="Lilley"] (Penn State) of LM and [player_tooltip player_id="1119123" first="Michael" last="Walz"] (Richmond) of ‘Stoga - go head-to-head in this Central League contest. You will not want to miss a key perimeter matchup in this game either. 2023 guard [player_tooltip player_id="991391" first="Sam" last="Brown"] (25.5 ppg. for LM) and three-year Conestoga starter [player_tooltip player_id="1122121" first="Ryan" last="Mackey"] (2022) are both high level college prospects.

Wed., Dec. 22nd…Engineering & Sciences at St. Joe’s Prep: Engineering and Sciences’ lineup features [player_tooltip player_id="1200787" first="Denzel" last="Figueroa"], one of the top uncommitted seniors in the area. The 6’5” wing player can score, guard 1 through 5 and is an intimidating shot blocker. It will be interesting to see how Figueroa defends SJP center [player_tooltip player_id="1281772" first="Tristen" last="Guillouette"] (6’9”). Guillouette was extremely impressive on the interior this past summer. Of course, SJP’s lineup also features the smooth guard play of [player_tooltip player_id="1188621" first="Olin" last="Chamberlain"] (2025).

Thurs., Dec. 23rd…Neuman-Goretti vs. Imhotep: By our count there will be no less than eleven DI prospects that play in this highly anticipated game. For NG, headliners include [player_tooltip player_id="1116063" first="Robert" last="Wright III"] running point, [player_tooltip player_id="991316" first="Masud" last="Stewart"] scoring the rock and interior beast [player_tooltip player_id="1279647" first="Sultan" last="Adewale"]. As you know by now, ‘Tep’s starting five is simply ridiculous. Still, for ‘Tep it all starts with Class of 2023 guards [player_tooltip player_id="991341" first="Justin" last="Edwards"] and [player_tooltip player_id="991339" first="Rahmir" last="Barno"]. Those two comprise arguably the best backcourt in the state.

Thurs., Dec. 23rd…Reading at Lower Merion: There is no letup in the Aces schedule during the month of December. They have already defeated an extraordinarily talented Pocono Mt. West team. Now two days after a tough league game vs. Conestoga, LM will host the defending 6A state champions. Reading superstars [player_tooltip player_id="1279633" first="Ruben" last="Rodriguez"] (1st Team 6A All-State) and [player_tooltip player_id="1116036" first="Daniel" last="Alcantara"] have already piloted the Red Knights to a win over the vaunted Imhotep squad mentioned above.
