<p>Prep Hoops has been on both sides of game this week with boys and girl's coverage throughout the state. Earlier this week Prep Hoops stopped in at West Florence HS for the Turkey Shootout. The event featured 8 teams from the Pee Dee area of the Palmetto State. </p>

<p>Mullins HS came out and dominated Cheraw HS in the 7th place game today 91-39. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1108825" first="Johnell" last="Sindab"]</strong> led the charge for the Auctioneers with 28 points in the win. </p>

<p>The South Florence HS Bruins were able to sneak by Latta HS 66-63 to capture the win. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1303613" first="Terrence" last="Moorer"]</strong> led the way for the Bruins with 22 points, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1156890" first="Jamarie" last="Brown"]</strong> added 15 points and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1333159" first="Khristian" last="Bruce"]</strong> added 7 points. <strong>DJ Griffin</strong> led Latta HS with 20 points while guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930644" first="Tydreck" last="DeBerry"]</strong> added 16 points for the Vikings. </p>
<p>Marlboro County HS the defending Class 3A State Champions from last year defeated Lee Central HS 66-56. The Stallions DNP play last season any sports across the board due to the Pandemic. <strong>Michael Holmes Jr</strong>. led the way for the Stallions with 13 points, <strong>Derrick Bradley</strong> added 12 points while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1335968" first="Nakia" last="Johnson"]</strong> came in with 10 points. Holmes is the son of former USC Gamecock/Coastal Carolina University player Michael Holmes. </p>
<p>West Florence HS defeated Darlington HS in the Championship Game 63-62. The Knights were playing quite shorthanded without the services of<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="865315" first="Deuce" last="Hudson"]</strong>,<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="1162462" first="Darren" last="Lloyd"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1048143" first="Avion" last="McBride"]</strong>. All 3 were still playing football in the Lower State Championship Game for the Knights. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1189807" first="Bryson" last="Graves"]</strong> a multi-sport athlete came up with 23 points in the win while [player_tooltip player_id="1295771" first="Valerian" last="Bruce"] added 22 points. </p>
<p>The Falcons under new Head Coach Brad Knox were led in scoring by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1157436" first="Dominic" last="Cotton"]</strong> 18 points, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="986186" first="Keenan" last="Dubose"]</strong> 13 points and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930627" first="Qua’liek" last="Lewis"]</strong> 10 points. </p>
<p>Prep Hoops will be able to see plenty of these teams again later this season in other travels. The Pee Dee area of the Palmetto State looks to be making a step forward with solid play from teams early on this season. </p>
