South Shore has been the cream of the crop in the PSAL. Prior to the Pandemic, South Shore Vikings were the back to back New York City PSAL champions. South Shore is credited with producing Division I players. This year, the South Shore Vikings will not be short of talent. Big thanks to Coach Shawn Mark. Based on my review, here are the top South Shore Viking players to look out for:

[player_tooltip player_id="1125596" first="Max" last="Ragusa"]-5’10 (2022): Max is a natural born leader and floor general. He is cut from the old school as he is a past first point guard. He plays with great pace and he is solid ball handler and has a high basketball I.Q. Max is a great penetrator and he can finish in the lane as well as make the right pass under pressure. Max jumper has vastly improved and his quick hands and feet on defense allows him to guard effortlessly. A D1 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="1045934" first="Davin" last="Francis"]-6’5 (2023): Davin is a long and high level athlete. He is a high character kid and can score at all three levels. Davin uses his length and athleticism well on the defensive end and improvement is seen in his ball handling skills. A D1 prospect.

Kyrone Alexander-6’3 (2023): Kyrone is also a high character player who competes on both ends of the floor every play. Kyrone is a three level scorer and a high level athlete. He plays with great pace and a high basketball I.Q. This player is a recent transfer from Barbados. A D1 prospect.

Nivek Borden-6’7 (2022): Nivek has a college ready physique. A good athlete with a nice soft touch on his shot. He has extended his range to the high school three-point line. In the post, he has good footwork and he is not afraid of contact. Nivek is a great rebounder. A D1 prospect.

Tyliek Weaks-6’6 (2023): An undersized post player with ball handling skills and good footwork. He is a banger on the inside with good basketball I.Q. A good rebounder and can start a teams fast break. He is now displaying good touch on his jump shot. Colleges coaches should keep an eye out for Tyliek.

Ibrahim BA-6’3 (2022): An undersized wing with good ball handling skills. He attacks the rim with toughness and finishes in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id="992511" first="Jarrett" last="Dingle"]-6’1 (2023): Jarrett was not in attendance the day I observed, however I know that he is one of the top prospect in the 2023 class. Jarrett just transferred in from Long Island. Looking forward to seeing his game.

Looking forward to seeing these players during the regular season.
