MJ Jones 6’1 PG
MJ Jones is one of the most underrated point guards in the state. Easily one of the more exciting players to watch regardless of class and possesses some of the best handles in the state. He shows an ability to keep defenders on their heels when attacking off the dribble and can get anywhere he wants to get on the court due to an elite first step and killer crossover. Jones is a streaky shooter who likes to create his own rhythm off the bounce and shows good touch in his in-between game with a solid jumper and a nice floater. He also has a knack for drawing fouls and is elite in transition. Did a good job of balancing scoring and facilitating throughout the game. Jones shows a great competitive spirit and an ability to take over a game when needed as well while finishing with 20 points and five assists. If Jones continues this level of play through the season, he’s sure to climb up the state rankings and receive D2 and mid-major interest.

Kamoiri Hollins 6’1 CG
Hollins is a solid combo guard who can contribute in all facets of the game but primarily makes his mark as a lockdown perimeter defender. He shows a high IQ on the defensive end with solid help-side blocks, deflections, and timely rotations. Offensively he can initiate plays from the off guard position. He mainly scores on energy buckets such as put backs, off-ball cuts, and filling the lane on fast breaks. Showed an explosive first step and the speed to blow by defenders if they overcrowd him on the perimeter. Did a good job facilitating when playing at the one and turned on his aggressiveness appropriately when he was pushed up to the two-guard position.
Trussville
Karnell Williams, 6’2 SG
Showed range on the deep ball and an ability to knock down the trey ball in transition. Showed some craftiness and IQ when using his shot fake to create drive opportunities that led to good looks at the rim. He moves well off the ball and shows good awareness of his role in the Trussville offense. He proved to be a disruptive defender with five steals on the night and some more deflections. Showed a willingness to contribute to boards as well with four rebounds.
Ray Rolley 5’10 PG
Rolley is a crafty guard who uses angles and his shifty handle to create for himself and others. Rolley seems to always be in control and is elite with his change-of-place dribble. Used a variety of head fakes, hesitations, and hang dribbles that keep defenders off balance. Can knock down the three as a stationary shooter and attack closeouts off the bounce. As a distributor, Rolley is efficient at finding the open off of dribble penetration and proved to be a solid floor general.
