Which transfers do we expect to make the biggest impact this year at the high school level? Here are a few of the top ones in Illinois Impact Transfers!

Ty Rodgers (Thornton – 2022)

The first one is pretty obvious. Rodgers is a top 40 prospect nationally and the biggest prospect to come into Illinois as a transfer in years. Big and physical wing is going to make Thornton a contender with his tenacity and impact on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1210369" first="Trey" last="Pettigrew"] (Kenwood – 2022)

Pettigrew came back to Illinois for his senior year after spending last year in Arizona. He jumped into the top 5 overall with his explosive scoring ability from the point guard position and is primed for a huge year. Committed to Nevada.

[player_tooltip player_id="925178" first="Kyle" last="Thomas"] (Benet – 2022)

Five man left St. Joseph’s after it closed. Looked like he was going to Fenwick as he played with them during the summer then opted to enroll at Benet where the top 15 prospect will provide them with an interior presence.

[player_tooltip player_id="863598" first="Bobby" last="Durkin"] (Glenbard West – 2022)

Durkin made the move from Hinsdale South over to Glenbard West for his senior campaign. The Army commit is one of the top shooters in the state at 6’6” and fits in perfectly to how Glenbard West plays.

[player_tooltip player_id="1048716" first="Famious" last="French"] (Normal Community – 2022)

Super athletic small forward that can score in transition and make plays off the bounce. Made the move from Bloomington to Normal Community.

[player_tooltip player_id="996082" first="David" last="Hubbard"] (Champaign Centennial – 2022)

Hubbard is an ultra smooth two guard who is coming off a strong summer with Champaign Heat. For his final high school season he will run with Champaign Centennial.

[player_tooltip player_id="925192" first="AaReyon" last="Munir-Jones"] (Hillcrest – 2022)

Munir-Jones is an intriguing prospect that will give Hillcrest the scoring pop that they need after losing so many seniors last season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1049092" first="Toby" last="Onyekonwu"] (Joliet West – 2022)

This guard shined in June and July with his multi-level scoring playing both on and off the ball. Expect him to fit right in with the Joliet West guards.

[player_tooltip player_id="925226" first="Martell" last="Webb"] (Tinley Park – 2022)

Webb was a HUGE addition to Tinley Park’s front line. Wide bodied five that eats up rebounds and moves bodies in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="863607" first="Nick" last="Harrell"] (Tinley Park – 2022)

Harrell is coming over from Brother Rice where he should provide versatility on the wing for Tinley Park.

[player_tooltip player_id="1048306" first="Miles" last="Rubin"] & [player_tooltip player_id="1048305" first="Wesley" last="Rubin"] (Simeon – 2023)

These twins are among the top posts in the junior class. Each bring something different and they play well off each other. Fit in very well this summer for the Wolverines.

[player_tooltip player_id="939056" first="Bryce" last="Coleman"] (Niles Notre Dame – 2023)

Strong bodied two/three who has all the physical tools you could ask for and is primed to regain his spot among the state’s best in the junior class at Notre Dame.

[player_tooltip player_id="1056104" first="Chikasi" last="Ofoma"] (Curie – 2023)

Ofoma transferred from one CPS power to another leaving Simeon for Curie. He is a high motor and strong bodied power forward that mauls on the glass.

[player_tooltip player_id="939074" first="Khalil" last="Ross"] (Brother Rice – 2023)

Upside and rangy small forward that will be a nice running mate next to Henderson as a 1-2 punch. Really like his versatility.

[player_tooltip player_id="939051" first="Darrion" last="Baker"] (Hillcrest – 2023)

Baker moved over to Hillcrest from St. Rita. Strong and athletic four man that could emerge this season!

[player_tooltip player_id="1113514" first="Evan" last="Jackson"] (De La Salle – 2023)

A lot of positive buzz for this other St. Rita transfer heading into the season. Long and rangy combo forward will be a key player for De La Salle.

[player_tooltip player_id="1048315" first="Troy" last="Cicero"] (Romeoville – 2023)

Loved what we saw out of Cicero at our Prep Hoops Top 250 Camp and is primed to make a statement this year with Romeoville.

[player_tooltip player_id="1295536" first="Hunter" last="Duncan"] (St. Viator – 2023)

High IQ point guard that runs a team and gets others involved with passing flair. Made the move to Illinois from La Lumiere.

[player_tooltip player_id="1157346" first="Jaden" last="Smith"] (Kenwood – 2024)

This one came right before practices started as the top 10 sophomore joined Kenwood after they lost Taylor. Gives them an athletic and mobile post that can grow with them and play off his physical gifts.

[player_tooltip player_id="1157205" first="Dekwon" last="Brown"] (Limestone – 2024)

Brown made the move from Peoria High to Limestone for his sophomore campaign. Explosive scoring guard that is a shifty ball handler and has range on his shot.

[player_tooltip player_id="1157226" first="Josh" last="Pickett"] (West Aurora – 2024)

Pickett left the young core at St. Rita to carve out his own path at West Aurora. Broad shouldered and athletic two guard is a smooth scorer.

Andre Blakley (Larkin – 2024)

Blakley can flat out score it! One of the better pure bucket getters in the sophomore class should work well as part of their three-guard lineup.

[player_tooltip player_id="1285484" first="Tavariyuan" last="Williams"] (Leo – 2024)

Williams left De La Salle for another CCL program in Leo. Rangy sophomore wing has greatly improved and can impact the game on both ends.
