The class of 2022 has talent from all over the state including many players from smaller schools. We have seen many times in the past some of the best players in the state can come from small schools. Here are some of the best players from small schools in the class of 2022.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050953" first="Elliott" last="Cravitz"]- Colorado Academy

[player_tooltip player_id="1050953" first="Elliott" last="Cravitz"] has made a name for himself as one of the best shooters in Colorado. Elliott has the ability that many shooters do not have, that is he can shoot spot up and off of the dribble very well. Colorado Academy seems to have a lot of plays set to help Elliott get open shots, he is very good at moving off of the ball which makes it easy for him to get good looks. He also has a good pump fake he uses to get defenders on their toes, which he can turn into a one-dribble pull-up. Elliott will draw a lot of defenders but he is a smart passer who can find open teammates when he is getting pressured.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050955" first="Duke" last="Benson"]- Kent Denver

[player_tooltip player_id="1050955" first="Duke" last="Benson"] is one of the best role players in the state of Colorado. Duke is a guy who does not need the ball in his hands to impact the game. He is a small forward who battles down low with big guys for rebounds. Duke is also an excellent cutter off of the ball, often can sneak behind defenders for backdoor cuts. While Duke is a great role player for Kent Denver he is seen as one of their top scorers. He is a microwave player who once he gets hot can hit a variety of shots from all three levels. Duke is a guy who hits tough shots and does not mind getting gritty.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050954" first="Abhil" last="Woldeyohannes"]- Colorado Academy

[player_tooltip player_id="1050954" first="Abhil" last="Woldeyohannes"] is wing with great size, looking forward to a big senior season from him. Abhil stands at 6’3 and has a solid frame, which allows him to move around smaller defenders but is a guy you cannot put a big man on due to his quickness. He looks his best when he has a head full of steam getting to the rim as he is a guy defenders do not want to step in front of. When defenders do step in front of him near the rim he has a good set of euro-steps he uses to get around defenders. Abhil on the defensive end is a lockdown defender who can guard almost every position on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="618880" first="Jordan" last="Reed"]- Manual

[player_tooltip player_id="618880" first="Jordan" last="Reed"] is a guard with great size who has started to play great this fall. Jordan can play a bit of both guard spots on the floor and is an X-Factor with his 6’5 height. Jordan is a smooth player who has a nice jab step and a good handle on the ball. Jordan is also a good athlete which helps him finish well at the rim, and has even thrown down a few big dunks recently. Jordan is money from mid-range and can get into the mid-paint and hit floaters. Jordan will be a scorer to watch this season.
