We recently updated our Senior class rankings and it’s time to highlight certain players by position group. Here’s a look at the top Small Forwards in the updated 2022 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="926887" first="Rylee" last="Samons"], Pikeville - Rylee's ranking slid a little after a knee injury cost him the end of his Junior season and all of his 17u AAU season. The big wing should be back to full speed for his Senior season and still has a shot to sign D1 before the dust settles on his Senior season after claiming 3 early D1 offers. If he's back to 100%, Rylee is the best player in the 15th region.

[player_tooltip player_id="926919" first="Brady" last="Bell"], Russell - The 6'6 wing used a big July to earn several NAIA offers and has interest from every scholarship level in state. Bell is the best player in the region who doesn't play at Ashland and will have a shot to win regional player of the year. As his ballhandling improves, Bell should see his stock boost even higher with college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id="926920" first="Tucker" last="Blanford"], Bullitt East - One of the best players in the Louisville area, Tucker doesn't get as much praise as he should as a top player in the 6th region. Blanford is battle tested and has shown he can compete with and against the best throughout his AAU career. The 6'5 wing has really improved his outside shooting and become a true three level scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id="801600" first="Aden" last="Nyekan"], Barren County - Nyekan, like Samons, missed most of his Junior season and all of AAU with a knee injury. Aden came to our top 250 expo in September and showed improved ball handling and shooting. It looks like the 6'5 forward is getting his bounce back but has become more of a true wing over the course of his career.

[player_tooltip player_id="1069277" first="Andrew" last="Mason"], Bardstown - Returning for a second Senior season for the Tigers, Mason has big time potential as a versatile wing who can score at all levels and is switchable on defense. Andrew was young for the 21 class so the move to 22 should be a good one for him and he's likely the front runner for player of the year in the 5th.
