2022 Rankings: Top Point Guards

<p>We recently updated our Senior class rankings and it’s time to highlight certain players by position group. Here’s a look at the top Point Guards in the updated 2022 rankings.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="638866" first="Jaxon" last="Smith"], Lincoln County - Smith has been a top player in the class for several years and enters his 5th season as starting point guard at Lincoln. Jaxon has really improved as a shooter in the past couple of seasons after being primarily a driver as a younger player. Expect Jaxon to be one of the best players in the 12th region this season.</p> <p><span style="font-size: 1rem;">[player_tooltip player_id="926892" first="Aden" last="Slone"], George Rogers Clark - Aden is one of the more fun players to watch in the class as he is quick as a hiccup and an excellent passer. He’s the driving force behind the GRC offense that should be among the highest scoring in the state this season. Slone has multiple offers already and could earn more during the season.</span></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1203225" first="Kaden" last="Stanton"], Ballard - Stanton is at Ballard this season after a solid career across the bridge in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Kaden finds himself in a loaded backcourt for the Bruins but he may be the only pass first player in the mix as he specializes in breaking down the defense then creating open looks for himself or others.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="801598" first="Miles" last="Franklin"], Ballard - Miles joins Kaden in the Ballard backcourt and is more of a score first point guard than a pass first facilitator like Stanton. Between the two of them, [player_tooltip player_id="932766" first="Gabe" last="Sisk"] and [player_tooltip player_id="692954" first="Kennedy" last="Hayden"], the Bruins are LOADED with guard talent.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="793777" first="Noah" last="Dumas"], McCracken County - Returning for an encore Senior season, the reigning first region player of the year will look to take the Mustangs back to Rupp Arena while also getting some more scholarship opportunities.
