The Park Region Preview

<p>Last season New York Mills won the Park Region Conference and they are looking to compete.  Henning should be the top contender.  Here is the Park Region Conference Preview. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Conference Commentary</strong></p> <p><strong>Top Ten Potential:  </strong>New York Mills, Henning</p> <p>New York Mills and Henning will first compete with one another for the league title and then they will try and run through the very difficult 6A gauntlet of talented teams to try and qualify for the state tournament.  New York Mills is talented and they have a lot of experienced players returning from a team that went 12-1 in league play a season ago and 17-3 overall.  Henning is talented, also has most of their talent back, and we all know they are coached by an excellent staff.  That said, New York Mills beat Henning by big margins last year so they start out on top. </p> <p><strong>Compete with Most</strong>: Pillager, Wadena-Deer Creek, Verndale, Menahga </p> <p>Pillager had a solid season at 11-8 last year but they lost four starters from that club so they are likely to take a step back this year.  There are still some solid seniors but there is a lot to replace. Wadena-Deer Creek also lost some veterans but where they are different from Pillager is that they have their best player back AND they had some really good freshmen last season that will step into much bigger roles this year.  Verndale has an outside chance to make a run at the league.
