<p>The Class 2A State Championship has to run through Greenville again this season. Will the Christ Church Cavaliers do it again this season ? Christ Church has plenty of firepower back from last year. </p> <p>2.Abbeville HS - The Panthers aren’t just a football powerhouse. Can the Panthers overtake the Cavaliers ? </p> <p>3. Liberty HS - The Red Devils finished (4-16) last year and lost its last 7 straight. </p> <p>4. Ninety-Six HS - Long season last year for the Wildcats at (2-14) and ending season on 10 game losing streak. </p> <p>6. Greenville Tech - Long season last year while finishing (1-11). </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="865293" first="Jordan" last="Butler"] (2023) - Christ Church - Prep Hoops Preseason Region Player of the Year</strong></p> <p>Butler is ranked the #2 player behind [player_tooltip player_id="865317" first="Greg" last="Jackson"] in the 2023 Palmetto State Class. Jordan really showed some good progress this summer with his play at the SCBCA Camp in Rock Hill. Jordan a High Major recruit for many Power 5 schools will be back to lead the Cavaliers. Harvey does his job very well from out top and </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1315199" first="Rhasheed" last="Davis"] - Abbeville HS </strong></p> <p>Davis a combo guard averaged 11.3 ppg last season for the Panthers. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1315200" first="Jeremiah" last="Lomax"] - Abbeville HS</strong> </p> <p>Lomax a point guard averaged 11.1 ppg last season for the Panthers (8-4). </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1315201" first="Kaydon" last="Sauers"] - Crescent HS (Iva) </strong></p> <p>Sauers is back for the Tigers after averaging 12 ppg last season. Kaydon will turn his attention to the gridiron where he’s a pro style quarterback at 6’6. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1297525" first="Javario" last="Tinch"] (2023) - Abbeville HS </strong></p> <p>Tinch averaged 12.1 ppg last season. Tinch also excels on the football field like so many kids at the traditional UPSTATE powerhouse. </p> <p><strong>Dre Paul (2023) - Liberty HS </strong></p> <p>Paul averaged 6.1 ppg last season for the Red Devils. </p> <p><strong>Payne Davis - Ninety-Six HS </strong></p> <p>Davis a 5’10 shooting guard averaged 11.5 ppg last season for the Wildcats. </p>
