<p>Recruiting is a year-round proposition.  Tennessee is strong in 2023.  Much of the 2022 class is already verbally committed, but the second and third tier players are now getting the college love. Read about their stories.</p> <p><em>DM <a href="https://twitter.com/PrepHoopsTN">@PrepHoopsTN</a> anytime with your latest recruiting developments.</em></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1235502" first="Alex" last="Bruno"] verbally committed to University of Dallas.</p> <p>Newberry College evaluated the Powell Higb School players.</p> <p>Days after hosting [player_tooltip player_id="996878" first="Chandler" last="Jackson"] in Knoxville, University of Tennessee Head Coach Rick Barnes stopped by his practice to show love and scout.  Tennessee is playing catch up to other programs after offering so "late" but they are making all the right moves.</p> <p>To the extent that it matters, fellow Top 5 player in 2022, B.J. Edwards (Tennessee verbal) is willing and even eager for UT to recruit and perhaps sign Chandler.  Sometimes you see jealously emerge when two players sign in the same class at the same position.  </p> <p>Anderson University evaluated [player_tooltip player_id="1025784" first="Elijah" last="Bredwood"] (Bearden) and [player_tooltip player_id="1021794" first="Will" last="Biven"] (Knoxville West) mid-week. Bredwood and Biven played AAU together on the winningest AAU team of the summer.</p> <p>Lincoln Memorial is all in with Bredwood. They host him for an official offer today (October 7th) and spent several hours evaluating him this week.</p> <p>Independence High forward [player_tooltip player_id="775575" first="Cameron" last="Bell"], a player I simply have not seen play, is hearing from several colleges: Lee University, University of Alabama Huntsville, Trevecca, Union University.</p> <p>https://twitter.com/CourtneyHoops90/status/1446090655927873537?t=f9W1PSq_--Ln5kZGU2zxFA&amp;s=19</p> <p>Way back in June Morehead State inquired about [player_tooltip player_id="1162503" first="Hunter" last="Pratt"] (Christian Brothers).  Lately, Rhodes College seems to be the most interested though he holds no formal offers.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1011989" first="Chip" last="Brunt"] is earned elevated interest from UT Martin.  The new staff is working to build out their program and the obvious first place you look when you take over the UT Martin job is Memphis, Tennessee.  Chip is a special talent with a young body and matured skills.  The thinking from Chip and his support group is he will sign April not November.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1201721" first="Jack" last="Browder"] added a King University offer. Milligan already offered him.  Mars Hill and Bryan are in constant contact.</p> <p><strong>Malachi Hale</strong> (Dobyns-Bennett) is in talks with King, Roane State, and many others.</p> <p>Mercer offered [player_tooltip player_id="1022635" first="David" last="Craig"] (McCallie).</p>
