North Linn has absolutely dominated this conference for the last several years, and that domination won’t end this year. Hilmer’s ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor with his quickness, athleticism, and talent makes him the obvious choice for the POY honor in this division.

First Team

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="682273" first="Austin" last="Hilmer"], North Linn: 17.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists, 3.6 steals

Hilmer was among the state’s leaders in assists and steals last season, and he’s the focal point of the Lynx attack on both ends of the floor. The Upper Iowa commit is a fiery competitor who plays at 100 mph at all times.

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="962679" first="Kaiden" last="Gage"], East Buchanan: 17.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.6 steals, 39.7 3P%

Gage is a long and athletic wing who can score inside and out. He has consistently improved his jumper, turning himself into a nearly 40% 3-point shooter last season.

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="962618" first="Rhenden" last="Wagaman"], Springville: 15.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.3 steals, 1.0 blocks, 51.4 FG%

A 6-3 wing who gets to the rim and finishes at a high level, Wagaman also uses his length to make an impact on the defensive end of the floor.

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="962643" first="Luke" last="Menster"], Springville: 15.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 3.9 steals, 57.1 FG%, 37.2 3P%

A quick lefty guard who can get to the rim or knock down 3s, Menster is also a very talented passer who sees the floor well and fits passes into tight windows. His 3.9 steals a game show just how pesky he can be on that end of the floor as well.

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1167704" first="Tate" last="Haughenbury"], North Linn: 15.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.4 steals, 1.3 blocks, 65.2 FG%

Following the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="801963" first="Austin" last="Miller"], the Lynx needed a forward to step up, score efficiently, and rebound. Enter Haughenbury, who was dominant in the paint on both ends of the floor last season. He’s a long, lanky forward who has great footwork and touch around the rim, and can stretch out and knock down the occasional jumper.
