Tayvin Zephier-Murphy Tayvin Zephier-Murphy 6'4" | CG Omaha Westview | 2025 State NE | Omaha South | 6’2 G
Out of all the 2025’s at the showcase Tayvin seemed to be one of the more experienced. He and his OSA 8th grade team, which Healy was also on, had played in the 9th and 10th grade division Prep Hoops circuit tournament I had watched back in July. Tayvin stood out to me there quite a bit but he has really adjusted to the pace of the game at the next level. He’s very unselfish with the ball, but knows when he should be taking the shot. Great finisher at the rim with tremendous body control going up against bigs.
Braden Frager Braden Frager 6'6" | SF Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State #211 Nation NE | Westside | 6’3 G
Healy is another kid from the 8th grade OSA team I watched in July and he has adjusted to the pace as well. He plays with a lot of swagger. He likes to create space with a few dribble combos and will either hit a deep stepback three or blow by for a layup. His range is second to none and he doesn’t shy away from contact. Very vocal on defense and pesky on-ball defender.
Leyton Snodgrass Leyton Snodgrass 6'4" | SF York | 2025 State NE | York | 6’5 F
As a 6’5 freshman Snodgrass has a ton of strength and size for his age. Even against some upper classmen this weekend he still was able to keep his positioning down low and create some shots for himself. Confident and consistent three point shooter and a very able finisher. He threw down a few dunks pre expo and attempted a few in game. Overall very athletic 2025 with a lot of upside.
John Sims IV John Sims IV 5'7" | PG Omaha Westview | 2025 State NE | Omaha South | 5’4 G
Sims IV was one of my favorite players to watch this weekend. He was the definition of heart over hype. Even at a bit of a height and age disadvantage he still remained to play his game. Being a pass first point guard he was always finding teammates in the right spots and at the right time. Very relentless on ball defender. He was unselfish with the ball and didn’t force a lot.
Dayvion Vinson Dayvion Vinson 5'9" Central | 2025 NE | Omaha Central | 5’9 G
Vinson was a overall a very solid player. More of a two or three he was able to drive to the basket and make some tough layups. He spaced the floor well for his team and was able to knock down some shots. He grabbed some key rebounds for his team and pushed the tempo out the break.
