Prep Hoops PA Fall Rankings Update: Class of 2024 Impact Players

For the 2024 Pennsylvania Prep Hoops Fall Rankings update, we give information on the players who will make an impact this high school season. These young sophomores are motivated to become quality performers on the hardwood partnered together with their teammates. As more playing time will be on the horizon this winter, watch for the significant improvement and development made by the following individuals on the hoop court.   [player_tooltip player_id="991414" first="Jake" last="Wolf"] - 5’10 - shooting guard - Montour High School <ul> <li>His skill set includes a quality three-point shot and a sound mid-range jumper</li> <li>The high basketball IQ exhibited by this player makes him a young leader on the floor</li> <li>Jake will participate in a good amount of varsity time this season</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id="991419" first="Brandon" last="Banks"] - 6’0 - combo guard - Aliquippa High School <ul> <li>He has a quick rip move and first step which gets him in the lane rather quickly in the half-court set</li> <li>An athletic defender who creates turnovers with his reaction time to the ball</li> <li>Brandon likes the up-tempo style of Aliquippa and will shine in the transition game</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id="1187995" first="Bryson" last="Pavlik"] - 5’11 - shooting guard - Gateway High School <ul> <li>This consistent perimeter shooter has an extremely quick release on his shot</li> <li>He understands how to separate himself off screens for open looks at the basket</li> <li>Bryson is a knowledgable sophomore who makes the right play on the court for his team</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id="1187992" first="Julian" last="Dugger"] - 6’2 - wing forward - Penn Hills High School <ul> <li>A talented, athletic performer that flies around the court causing havoc on the defensive against his opponent</li> <li>The vertical jumping ability is an asset to his game which helps him rebound well on both ends of the floor</li> <li>Julian will bring the toughness and energy needed to provide success for his team this winter</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id="1187973" first="Vinnie" last="DePaula"] - 5’10 - shooting guard - Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School <ul> <li>The court vision and ball-handling skill make this young man difficult to defend in the open court</li> <li>He utilizes his knowledge of the game that makes him a coach on the floor despite his age</li> <li>Vinnie looks to provide a spark for Lincoln Park this season after transferring in the summer</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id="1188014" first="Joey" last="Coyle"] - 5’11 - shooting guard - Quaker Valley High School <ul> <li>A solid perimeter scorer who has developed knocking down shots during close-outs</li> <li>His youth will not be exposed as he plays well beyond his age for Quaker Valley</li> <li>Joey worked often this offseason to become ready for this moment </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id="991418" first="Mason" last="Miles"] - 6-1 - power forward - Fox Chapel High School <ul> <li>This big, strong post player imposes his will on a consistent basis against all comers</li> <li>He boxes out and rebounds like a man on both ends of the court for his team</li> <li>Mason brings that tenacity and power to dominate in the paint on offense with quality fundamental post moves</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id="1187982" first="Joey" last="Hathaway"] - 6’0 - shooting guard - Moon Area High School <ul> <li>An all-around youngster which looks to provide positive plays during each game</li> <li>He can score in a variety of ways in the half-court set and on the fast break</li> <li>Joey has been preparing for this chance for a long time and his hard work is paying off</li> </ul>   If you get a chance please attend a few games including some of these impact sophomores on the high school scene Tuesday or Friday nights during the winter.
