Smith dazzled with his two way play. He is one of the quickest players I think I've ever covered. His close proximity to the ground allows him to walk into to steals on defense. He chipped in a game high 20 points and scored his buckets at all three levels. He doesn't let his size define and plays like he is 6'3". Smith doesn't let the ball stick to his hands and had a few assists. Smith was a threat to score from behind the arc

Barlow provided some depth for Woodland Hills (PA) on the offensive end of the floor. He had seven points with two three pointers. Barlow is a player who if he is left alone on the perimeter he can hurt you. He showed some flashes as a facilitator.

Akins impressed on the defensive end of the floor where he did a nice job of containing Nate Schanbacher and made it tough for him to score throughout the game. He also showed some flashes on the offensive end by scoring seven points all in the second half. He is the epitome of a glue guy.

Really liked how Akins was able to play on or off the basketball throughout the game for Woody High. He added depth as a supportive scorer with 6 points. Akins also was able to connect with teammates for scoring chances of their own with his ability to pass the basketball.

Really liked the energy Piekarski gave throughout his time on the floor. He is very active on the defensive end and uses his length to contest shots. He has no issues trying to get in the mix for rebounds. Piekarski also came up with a few steals. He added 5 points in the loss.

Schanbacher had the kitchen sink thrown at him by Woodland Hills defense. They made him earn all eight of his points. He showed that he can convert tough shots through contact. Schanbacher connected on one three pointer. I liked how he was able to connect with a few of his teammates for scoring looks with his vision of the floor. He was in good spots on the floor to rebound and showed flashes of scoring coast to coast in transition. He needs to cut down the turnovers and work on tightening his handle. He can struggle when ball pressure in thrown at him.
