The 250 Expo KC held at Hy-Vee Arena on Oct. 3 brought together some of the top high school talent across Kansas and Missouri. The style of play and abundance of talent made it hard for some players to stand out.
Will Mlynek Will Mlynek 6'9" | C Free State | 2023 State KS , 6’9 F, Shawnee Mission South, Team 10: The big fella had a solid evening on the glass rebounding the ball on both ends, finishing off dump down passes, cleaning up misses on the offensive end, and protecting the painted area. Showed flashes of his mobility on the court to cover ground quickly, and finished his opportunities efficiently.
Jace Steinmetz Jace Steinmetz 6'3" | SF Garden City | 2023 State KS , 6’4 G, Garden City, Team 8: Shot the ball much like he did all spring and summer, at a high level. Has a quick trigger that looks good coming off his hands every time. Hit a couple of tough mid range pull ups as well on the day and a fade away contested jumper. He is a primer shot maker in the 2023 class.
Ryle Riddlesperger Ryle Riddlesperger 6'2" | PG Hugoton | 2023 State KS , 6’1 G, Hugoton, Team 5: Showed flashes of his ability to shoot the three ball at a high level. Aiden Sullivan Aiden Sullivan 6'8" | PF Olathe Northwest | 2023 State KS , 6’8 F, Olathe Northwest, Team 4: Was a terror on both ends of the floor the entire night. Rim ran with a purpose which led to a ton of layups and a dunk up at the rim. Had a couple of really good post seals and quick finishes on post moves as well throughout the games. Blocked and influence a ton of shots as well. Had a ton of great moments throughout the event on both ends of the floor.
Jack Wilson Jack Wilson 6'6" | C Manhattan | 2023 State KS , 6’6 F, Manhattan High, Team 3: Continued to show his massive versatility on the offensive end, drilling a ton of threes on the night in a variety of ways. Also showed that he can rebound the ball and outlet it or even push the break himself. Is a true inside out forward that can influence games and help his team out in so many fashions. His shooting has really taken off from good to great this summer and fall.
