Putting together the preseason all-state team for Class B was pretty difficult. While Doyline, Simsboro, and J.S. Clark Leadership are the top returning teams, there are a slew of other great players in this class. However, I think my preseason picks will all have a chance to land on one of the three teams selected at the close of the year. With that said, let me reveal my preseason selections for the all-state team in class B.

First Team (in alphabetical order)

G - [player_tooltip player_id="970111" first="Jamaria" last="Clark"] (6’2" | Doyline | Jr.)

G - Jamarion Clark (6’0" | Castor | Jr.)

G - [player_tooltip player_id="981495" first="Jordan" last="Crawford"] (6’2" | Simsboro | Sr.)

F - Tyren Thomas (6’4" | Zwolle | Sr.)

G/W - [player_tooltip player_id="981497" first="Brylen" last="Tyler"] (6’3" | JS Clark Leadership | Sr.)

[player_tooltip player_id="970111" first="Jamaria" last="Clark"] (aka Juicy) is a Class B most outstanding player candidate and hands down the best scorer in Class B. He can shoot it from distance, he can get to the lane and shoot the floater, and he can finish with either hand at the rim. He is one of my preseason 1st team selections and will be there at the end as well. Jamarion Clark is the do-it-all guard at Castor who can put a team on his back. I think he does just that and leads his team to a deep playoff run which will garner him a postseason first team selection along with my preseason one. [player_tooltip player_id="981495" first="Jordan" last="Crawford"] will be one of the best point guards in the state by season’s end. His combination of playmaking and defense is what sets him apart and is why he is a first teamer now and should see him make the first team at the end of the year. [player_tooltip player_id="981497" first="Brylen" last="Tyler"] was actually the second leading scorer for JS Clark last season. I believe he will step his game up another notch is why I gave him a first team nod. Rounding out the first team, I believe, will be Tyren Thomas from Zwolle. He can rebound, run the floor, and defend the paint. Three attributes that I think will undoubtedly put him in good standing to earn a first team nod at the end of the season as well as this selection from me.

First Team (in alphabetical order)

G - [player_tooltip player_id="970121" first="Trevor" last="Daughtery"] (6’2" | JS Clark Leadership | Sr.)

G - [player_tooltip player_id="1215774" first="Titus" last="Malone"] (6’1" | Saline | Jr.)

G - [player_tooltip player_id="1275351" first="Jamari" last="Markray"] (6’2" | Doyline | Sr.)

G - [player_tooltip player_id="932860" first="Nick" last="Maryland"] (6’2" | Simsboro | Sr.)

G - Wyatt Naquin (6’3" | Hathaway | Jr.)

[player_tooltip player_id="970121" first="Trevor" last="Daughtery"] is one of the better point guards in the state. Whether it is with scoring or assists, he is the leader of a team that will be in the hunt for a state title and deserves this selection. [player_tooltip player_id="1215774" first="Titus" last="Malone"] is a player coming into his own. He has some major springs and can defend as well. Malone is one of my second team selections because Saline should be really good and I think he will be their leading scorer. [player_tooltip player_id="1275351" first="Jamari" last="Markray"] has flashed big time improvement over the summer with his ability to defend and his prowess for getting to the rim. He will push for 1st team honors by season’s end and definitely is a worthy second teamer preseason. [player_tooltip player_id="932860" first="Nick" last="Maryland"] is one of the best defenders in the state hands down. He can turn a game with his defense. His offense is not bad either. He lands on the preseason second team but not by much. Rounding out this second team will be a player who I think will be a potential breakout star in class B. Wyatt Naquin has the size and shooting ability to be a double-double guy this season. I think he will be for a Hathaway team looking to get back to Marsh Madness.

Class B Players to Watch

These players will be ones to watch as the season evolves. Each of them are very good players in their own right.

G - [player_tooltip player_id="981496" first="Channing" last="Arvie"] (6’2" | JS Clark Leadership | Sr.) - One of the top shooters in the state and top three in class B

G - Michquel Spears (5’11" | Mt.
