[player_tooltip player_id="921096" first="Alan" last="Acevedo"] - 2023

A polished and experienced guard, Acevedo has spent the entirety of his high school career on varsity teams. He maximizes his size on the boards and on defense, at 6'1 170 pounds. It is obvious that Acevedo got to where he is by playing to his strengths, attacking the rim and creating for others thanks to his positional size. Depending on the matchup, Acevedo can be a double double threat (rebounds), as determination and grit are two key aspects of his game. I would like to see Acevedo continue to work on his jumper off the catch along with his free throws (60% & 61% between his two seasons at Golden), as this area could catapult his recruiting profile.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284493" first="Aidan" last="Carnevale"] - 2022

The 6'8+ big has an advanced toolbox of post moves paired with improving three point shooting. Molding into a stretch big, Carnevale looks to add an important blend of post moves including pivots and shot fakes, adding to his patience down low. His energy down low is dependable, where he maximizes his length to contest shots without necessarily hopping for a block.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284455" first="Aliou" last="Diallo"] - 2023

Diallo creates chaos for opponents due to his quick defensive instincts and ability to control opponents' in the half-court. He has a knack for poking away passes, as he does not fear running into a bigger opponent if it means potentially swiping away a 50/50 ball. His finishing around the rim is acrobatic, where he can make tough double clutch shots appear out of thin air. Diallo has quickly risen up rankings since his performances at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo.

Stavian Jones - 2022

Formerly the captain of Bishop Seabury Academy in Kansas, Jones looks to be a leader for this team. Often the loudest player in the gym, Jones' presence can be felt regardless of him playing. The floor general will look to set the standard for how Colorado Prep runs on and off the court this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1979720" first="Mataeo" last="Jourdan"] - 2024

The youngest athlete with Colorado Prep, Jourdan looks to take advantage of the older athletes experience. Another slim athlete, Jourdan uses his quickness to create opportunities around the rim and down the road, easy looks for teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="1285145" first="Mekhi" last="Jourdan"] -2023

Quickly improving wiry guard with more room to grow as a creator and an athlete. He is a quick player who has been a late bloomer, but will certainly gain recognition within a structured role at CPA. I look forward to seeing the Jourdan brother in person this season and how they progress through the year.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284422" first="Colin" last="Hawkins"] - 2023

The 6'2 guard plays bigger than one would think, maximizing his size on mismatches and taking the reigns when guarding opponents' lead ballhandlers. Hawkins plays with a chip on his shoulder, a trait you cannot teach. He has great strength for a combo guard, where it is clear he understands the value of maximizing this asset in the half-court through post-ups and bullying drives. He shot 78% from the line at Sand Creek last year, but needs to improve his three point shooting off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id="1285143" first="Desmond" last="Marshall"] - 2023

Albeit undersized, Marshall makes up for his height at 6'5 with unwavering passion and intensity. Marshall looks to set the standard of effort and maintain the energetic culture every single possession.

[player_tooltip player_id="967539" first="Titus" last="Washington"] - 2022 (pictured above)

Washington is simply dependable on defense, as a complementary guard who can help your team in a variety of ways without taking away from the lead ballhandlers. Last season at Cherokee Trail, he averaged 2.3 steals per game, additionally he proved his defensive instincts at various tournaments throughout the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="972415" first="JJ" last="Williams"] - 2023

Williams is a strong wing at 6'6 who rose to prominence with his shotmaking, but has been improving as an at-rim finisher over the past few months. Given his robust frame, taking advantage of his size will only assist in his scoring diversity. Defensive intensity is an area he should focus on, given his excellent frame and notable offensive dependability.
