Due to coronavirus the class of 2024 are relatively unknown throughout the state. The short season caused many to not play a lot of varsity minutes but this class is a really talented with some players already receiving division 1 offers. Now that we have introduced the initial rankings for the Class of 2024, here is a breakdown of the top forwards and posts in the class.

C 6’10 [player_tooltip player_id="1230778" first="Daniel" last="Jacobsen"], La Cueva: Jacobsen moved to Albuquerque from Wisconsin last year, and will enter the new rankings at #3. He is still a raw prospect, but knows how to use his size to defend the rim and doesn't get himself in much foul trouble. Jacobsen also possess solid range on his jumper having the ability to knockdown shots form the elbow, and beyond the arc. It will be interesting to watch him grow over the next few years.

F 6’6 [player_tooltip player_id="1276346" first="Mike" last="Knaub"], El Dorado: Mike is transitioning to a wing, but still needs to fine tune his ball handling and shooting ability. He thrives in transition, finishing pretty well through traffic, and in full court presses where he can use his length and athleticism to get deflections and steals. Knaub will be and intriguing prospect to watch as he could have another growth spurt, and become a great wing defender.

PF 6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1276348" first="Josh" last="Jackson"], El Dorado: Jackson's father played at New Mexico State, so he has a natural feel and understanding for the game. He has been developing his jump shot, is becoming a more confident player on the court, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him grow three more inches. El Dorado could have a monster duo in the works if he and Knaub decide to stay through their senior seasons.

PF 6’3 [player_tooltip player_id="1299263" first="Micah" last="Munoz"], Cibola: Micah is a blue collar player that has experience playing at a high level of basketball while playing with PB Nation. He uses his size and strength well to rebound the ball, and is a decent defender. He needs to expand his offensive game, but will make an impact off the bench for Cibola this season.

PF 6’0 [player_tooltip player_id="1291763" first="Caleb" last="Sumpter"], Des Moines: Sumpter comes in has the reigning leading scorer in the class, and although he plays at a small school he has the game to play with a lot of the top guys. He is a good rebounder, and solid playmaker that will be the leader at Des Moines for his entire time there. Sumpter will be on my radar for the next three season and could bring a young Des Moines a 1A state title before he graduates high school.
