2024 Stock-boosters heading into the season

<p>There is a ton of talent to get excited about in the 2024 class but I have listed below those that need to be on the radar as we enter into the upcoming High School season. These are players that are quickly rising in the rankings and will play a key role for their school and travel teams going forward. Let’s take a deeper look at those we need to keep a close eye on:</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1055718" first="Chris" last="Cornish"] 6’5 Wing - Charlotte High School - This young man’s stock has been rising at a rapid pace and I do not see it slowing down anytime soon. Chris is putting in the work and is translating to his game on the court. A lengthy wing who can play multiple positions and hurt you in a variety of ways on the offensive end. A strong finisher who is very athletic and already has a college-ready frame. Look for him to have a breakout season for Charlotte this upcoming season.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1055704" first="Adrian" last="Shackleton"] 6’3 CG - Cardinal Newman - I have watched this young man play since 3rd grade and he gets better every year. A versatile player who gets to the rim with ease and plays hard on both ends of the court. Adrian has a consistent outside shot and has a motor that does not stop. Adrian usually draws one of the hardest assignments on defense and he is always up for the challenge. This is the type of player you want on your team a hard worker with the right attitude to deliver results.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1055708" first="Casey" last="Etienne"] 6’1 PG - Cardinal Gibbons - Casey is a dual-sport athlete who excels on the football field and basketball court. He is a gifted athlete, a fierce competitor, and an overall elite student-athlete. Casey uses nice combination moves to get his way on the court and blow by defenders. He is very quick and sees the floor very well. Casey is a natural leader and gets the most out of his teammates while on the court. You will continue to hear his name more and more as his high school career moves forward.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1306129" first="Jaden" last="Baker"] 6’0 CG - Bradenton Christian - This young man is coming off a big summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit and really made a name for himself in the 2024 class. I have seen him play several times now and it seems like every time I watch him he continues to get better. He can get points up in a hurry and fill up a stat sheet in a blink of an eye. Lightning quick and one of the best finishers I have seen around the rim. You better put your best defender on him or it will be a long game for sure. I am looking forward to seeing the continued progress in his overall game and I believe he will quickly rise up in the rankings. He has all the tools to get him to the next level a very exciting player to watch.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1055777" first="Derek" last="Delgardo"] 5’11 PG - Leto - Another player who I have seen develop over the years Derek has grown into one of the best shooters in his class. Derek can play multiple positions and has above average IQ and court vision. Derek can attack the basket and knows how to make the defense to collapse in order to kick it outside for an open shot to one of his teammates. Derek has great speed that allows him to attack in a variety of ways on offense and can get up buckets quickly. I have always enjoyed watching the progression and style of play from Derek and expect his stock will continue to rise.</p>
