College coaches are making their rounds to schools across the state as teams are getting back on the floor with open gym sessions. Here’s a look at some of the latest happenings on the recruiting trail.

No. 2 rated recruit [player_tooltip player_id="533518" first="Elijah" last="Jamison"] recently re-opened his recruitment, de-committing from East Carolina, instantly making him one of the best available point guards in the class. He’s improved his body over the years and has a ton of potential playing either guard spot with [player_tooltip player_id="848087" first="Silas" last="Demary Jr"]. and [player_tooltip player_id="1284869" first="Ezra" last="Ausar"] on the floor with him at Liberty Heights in 2021-22.

UNC-Greensboro got the first commitment in their 2022 class with Providence Day’s [player_tooltip player_id="848076" first="Donovan" last="Atwell"] announcing his commitment to the Southern Conference on Wednesday. He’ll be an intriguing shooter and versatile defender that joins their rotation next fall. He’ll be fun to watch in 2021-22 as he closes out his senior campaign on the prep scene.

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="997734" first="Elijah" last="Strong"] earned his first DI offer from Radford University on Thursday evening. He’s a versatile forward at 6-foot-8 that can make plays off the bounce and create shots on the perimeter for himself. Look for things to heat up for him.

Radford also offered North Mecklenburg guard [player_tooltip player_id="1121033" first="Jordan" last="Crawford"], adding to his growing list of offers at the MM level. He’s an up-and-coming guard in the 2022 class looking to bounce back from an early exit in last year’s state tournament. With his athleticism and playmaking, look for him to lead the way in the backcourt once again. He holds offers from UNC-Wilmington, Hofstra and USC Upstate as well.

New In-State recruit [player_tooltip player_id="1280298" first="Willie" last="Lightfoot Jr"] earned an offer from Bowling Green on Wednesday evening. They were in attendance for NC GBBA National’s joint Open Gym with their Regional squad this past week. He’s set to go on an official visit soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="1030540" first="Christ" last="Essandoko"] has begun to narrow down his recruitment to his Top 7. He’s a highly skilled big man that’s really come along this grassroots season in Team Curry’s rotation and it’s carried over to Winston-Salem Christian’s rotation on the prep scene. He’s the No. 10 recruit in the 2022 class and is down to Maryland, Georgetown, Illinois, Providence, NC State, Seton Hall and Oral Roberts.
