Preseason Player of the Year: 2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1171681" first="Jonovan" last="Wilkinson"], Roland-Story

An athletic wing who can do a little bit of everything on the floor, Wilkinson put together a really strong freshman season for the Norsemen, and looks ready to take over as the team's top player this year. We expect Roland-Story to be the best team in the league, and Wilkinson is their best player.

First Team

2024 [player_tooltip player_id="1171681" first="Jonovan" last="Wilkinson"], Roland-Story: 11.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals

The 6-4 athletic wing can score from all three levels, competes on the glass, gets others involved, and makes an impact on the defensive end with his length. He could emerge as one of the best two-way players in 2A as early as this season.

2022 Bryce Stalder, Greene County: 15.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.0 steals

Stalder led the league in scoring last season by a full point per game. If he can improve his efficiency numbers, he could average well over 20 points a game and the Rams would be a much-improved team.

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1235014" first="Durant" last="Van Dyke"], PCM: 9.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals, 2.5 blocks

A big, physical forward, Van Dyke nearly averaged a double-double last season, and his 54 blocks were nearly three times more than any other players in the league had. In addition to his rebounding and rim protection, he also ranks among the top five returnees in assists.

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1239871" first="Luke" last="Patton"], Roland-Story: 7.5 points, 6.2 rebounds

There are certainly other returnees who had better numbers last year than Patton, but we expect him to make a major leap this year as the Norsemen's secondary scoring threat. A physical 6-5 big man with good hands and footwork, he can also stretch out to the arc and dominate the glass. He should average close to a double-double this season.

2022 Colin Memmer, Nevada: 13.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.2 steals

If any team in this league is going to step up and challenge Roland-Story at the top, it'll be the Cubs, who return their top four scorers, led by Memmer, a guard who can score from all three levels.

Second Team

2023 Richard Daugherty, Greene County

2022 Carson Vandelune, PCM

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1158512" first="Joey" last="Tollefson"], West Marshall

2022 Ty Dittmer, Nevada

2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1240103" first="Mason" last="Hicks"], Saydel

Honorable Mentions

2022 Judd Roberts, Saydel
2023 Peyton Hart, West Marshall
2022 Austin Busch, South Hamilton
2022 James Edwards, Nevada
