The wing group stood out in Winter Haven. Whether these guys were hyper athletes or shooters that can create for themselves they all produced. Of the six guys below you can find above the rim athletes, all around players, and underclassmen with college three point range.

At 6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="962858" first="Tre" last="Lockett"] has the size and game to switch between the guard spots. He’s a good athlete that rose above the rim in transition and the halfcourt resulting in a poster. He can hit the outside shot and break down defenders to get to the rim.

6’4 senior [player_tooltip player_id="1293307" first="Troy" last="Hodge"] is an all-around wing with hood tools. Hodge made shots from all over the court and punched one home on a late rotating defender. He made a few defensive plays, none better than his closeout block.

[player_tooltip player_id="1055750" first="Isaac" last="Celiscar"] adds to the reasons I’ll be at Winter Haven this coming season. The 6’6 wing has a high motor, good court sense, and is a premier open court athlete in his class. He’s a great slasher in the half court and one of the best rebounders despite his position at the event.

Camp environments are made for athletic wings like [player_tooltip player_id="812623" first="John" last="Gamble"]. The 6’6 junior attacked closeouts, usually getting to the rim for a dunk after one dribble and two long strides. He’s a contact magnet that either finishes through bodies or earns a trip to the free throw line. I left game 1 learning that his passing can be a dangerous asset with the right pieces around him.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1055762" first="Jamie" last="Phillips"] brings college three point range and rebounding to the table. As a bigger guard, he gets good positioning around the rim thanks to the added strength putting him in the position for putbacks. When the defense was playing Phillips tight on the perimeter, he could shed his man with a shoulder bump.

[player_tooltip player_id="956921" first="Braxton" last="Horsman"] caught my eye in game 1 earns and did t lose it until the end of game 3. He’s a long 6-5 wing that can get up and down in transition with big finishes at the rim. The senior knocks down perimeter shots at a promising rate.
