The 2021 season starts officially with practice in 5 weeks and as we creep towards October 15th, we’ll take some time to spotlight a few players who could be difference makers for their squads this season. Here’s a look at some 2022s who could make a splash this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1133852" first="Aaron" last="Thompson"], Collins - Thompson seems like he’s been starting for Collins for a decade at this point. He quietly led the Titans in scoring last year while shooting better than 50% overall. Aaron needs to really increase his rebounding numbers in order to impact the game more but he’s got a chance to help lead Collins back to the 8th region championship game as a Senior.

[player_tooltip player_id="1133847" first="Clay" last="Sizemore"], North Laurel - While the two Junior stars get most of the headlines for the Jags, Clay continues to be one of the more underrated players in the Commonwealth. Primarily a catch and shoot 3 point shooter, Sizemore doesn't get enough credit for his high IQ and playmaking abilities. He's a big part of why many expect North to push for a 13th region title.

[player_tooltip player_id="923069" first="Alandre" last="Murphy"], Elizabethtown - Finishing his first Senior year averaging over 12 points per game for the State Runners-Up, Murphy elected to run it back via Senate Bill 128 in hopes of seeing some recruitment come his way. A very veteran Panther team last season is suddenly very inexperienced and Alandre will be looked to for a lot this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="926937" first="Oliver" last="Harris"], Highlands - Speaking of veteran teams that will need to reload in a big way, Harris could be primed for a breakout after being a third or fourth offensive option (at best) thus far in his career. Oliver has shown very well for himself at our Top 250 Expos in the past and should have a chance to boost his college stock this season with a lot more opportunity.

[player_tooltip player_id="1199893" first="Cam" last="Christy"], Walton-Verona - After averaging 11 points and 5 rebounds per game last season, Christy looks to increase his production even more for a WV squad that has their eyes on the 8th region title. Christy had a good summer of AAU and recently earned a roster spot offer at a D3. Look for him to add more schools to his list as a Senior.
