Breaking down the top available senior shooting guards still on the board entering the 2021-22 season...

1. [player_tooltip player_id="801135" first="Steven" last="Clay"] - Menomonee Falls

Clay holds offers from Eastern Michigan, Western Illinois, Miami (OH), Ohio, UIC, UW-Milwaukee, and others. A potential hidden gem at the mid-major level, Clay has some measurables you can’t teach. He’s a very long, sweet-shooting wing. At 6-foot-5, Clay has some really tight handles and has improved vastly as a shot creator. He’s got a killer instinct as a scorer and is capable of absolutely going off on defenses.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="727964" first="Jack" last="Rose"] - Westosha Central

Rose is probably more of a 1B than No. 2 on this list after the summer he had. SIUE, Toledo, and UW-Milwaukee are all vying to snag the Westosha Central product. A blue collar shooting guard who can not only carry an offense, but will stick his face in the fan and make those momentum-changing hustle plays, Rose is going to find his way on the floor one way or another.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="801148" first="Andrew" last="Rohde"] - Brookfield Central

One of the summer’s biggest stock risers, Rohde is playing his best basketball at the right time. The 6-foot-5 wing has emerged into a real three-level scorer. An area he doesn’t get enough credit for, Rohde is one of the state’s best defenders as well. Rohde also has some really good length and a body type that’s still got a long way to go physically, which generally means more upside once he gets into a college strength and conditioning program. St. Thomas, Appalachian State, UIC, Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Western Illinois, and UW-Milwaukee have all offered.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="761407" first="Luke" last="Haertle"] - Lake Country Lutheran

Guessing Haertle goes with football as he’s got some Division 1 offers to play quarterback. On the hardwood, Haertle would probably be a strong Division 2 prospect. A gamer, who can elevate himself in the biggest spots, Haertle has got that "it" factor and clutch gene. Not going to wow anybody with athleticism, but just has a unique feel for the game, an all-around skillset, and an IQ that allows him to see the game differently.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="727972" first="Andrew" last="Alia"] - Kenosha St. Joseph

Since July, Wyoming, VMI, Army, Princeton, UW-Parkside, and Bemidji State have made contact with Alia. The 6-foot-3 senior is a quality shooter off the catch and off the bounce. Plug n' play prospect who can fit a lot of different systems and play with a variety of different types of players, because he moves really well without the ball, is unselfish, and is willing to defend on the other end. Not necessarily a guy that needs tons of shots to be happy and will show up in other ways.

6. [player_tooltip player_id="1085205" first="Dan" last="Gherezgher"] - Brookfield East

[caption id="attachment_1085206" align="alignright" width="300"] Dan Gherzegher[/caption]

Michigan Tech and UW-Parkside both have offered Gherezgher, who’s one of the state’s best kept secrets right now. Think the Brookfield East guard is going to have a monster senior season scoring the basketball. The 6-foot-2 senior is a plus-length, bouncy guard that's one of the deadliest off-the-dribble shooters in the state. Gherezgher has a knack and a feel for setting up defenders off the bounce, getting them thinking one thing, and hitting them with another before rising and firing in that 12-18 foot range.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="761401" first="Marshawn" last="Robinson"] - Waukesha South

Robinson recently snagged his first Division 2 offer from St. Leo. An athletic, two-way guard, Robinson has a dangerous isolation scoring skillset. He generally won't put up big numbers during the high school season as he plays on the ball and as a facilitator for Waukesha South. However, during the travel season, Robinson was a vastly improved shooter and bucket getter. He's still got that point guard feel/mentality, which makes him intriguing as a prospect, even though he's got a prototypical shooting guard frame. Sounds like a decision is on the horizon from Robinson.

8. [player_tooltip player_id="988976" first="Greyson" last="Pritzl"] - West Allis Central

An assassin with a quick trigger, Pritzl has the green light to let it fly from just about anywhere on the floor. Pritzl has extreme confidence as a shooter and doesn't get too high or too low, whether he's made five in a row or missed five in a row. He plays with a noticeable chip on his shoulder as well. Pritzl isn't afraid to scrap for loose balls and get after people. He'll probably make his hay as an outside shooter, but he's a guy that can take a bump or two en route to the rim if he puts it on the deck.

9. [player_tooltip player_id="990559" first="Nate" last="Streveler"] - Stevens Point

Streveler was still on his way back from injury in July, so schools haven’t seen the best of him yet. Carthage, St. Norbert's, Wisconsin Lutheran, Ripon, Lawrence, UW-Platteville, UW-Stevens Point, UW-La Crosse, Clarke, Loras, and others are all involved here. An efficient scorer and deceptive athlete, Streveler can put the ball in the hole in a variety of ways. He's one of the more versatile two-guards in this class as someone who's able to work on the block and go 1-on-1 in the post.

10. [player_tooltip player_id="865846" first="Parker" last="Prahl"] - Iola-Scandinavia

Prahl emerged in the spring and never took his foot off the gas pedal. Valley City State, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Platteville are all interested here. Also a standout football player, Prahl is receiving quite a bit of attention on the gridiron. If he opts for hoops, Prahl is a consistent outside shooter, who moves very well without the ball, and scores efficiently within the flow of the offense. Doesn't need a ton of dribbles to be successful and will generate a lot of easy buckets by cutting hard to the rim. A fundamentally sound prospect that doesn't need a lot of coaching. You tell him something once, he picks it up, and gets the job done.

Others: [player_tooltip player_id="988980" first="Derek" last="Lindert"] (Pardeeville), [player_tooltip player_id="1089756" first="Jack" last="Jorgensen"] (De Pere), [player_tooltip player_id="1267682" first="Sam" last="Grieger"] (Randolph), [player_tooltip player_id="1036734" first="Hunter" last="Hardyman"] (Darlington), [player_tooltip player_id="950105" first="Dontrell" last="Bush"] (Racine Horlick), [player_tooltip player_id="988699" first="Jerome" last="Jacobs"] (Madison West),
