With the high school season fast approaching, there are plenty of players who are still underrated in the 2022 class and this series is for college coaches who are still looking for players in the VA area!

We will look at some of the most underrated scholarship level players still available in the state of VA. Here’s a look at part two of the underrated scholarship bigs in the senior class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1107836" first="Roman" last="Barshow"] | 6’7” | Steward School

Barshow is a very unique prospect as he’s more of a hybrid forward than he is a true big as he’s perimeter oriented but also has the size and athleticism to play in the paint as well. He’s an excellent shooter from deep with a high release and good touch, he can protect the rim and switch to guard wings and he can finish above the rim and in traffic as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="815591" first="Wendell" last="Tomlin"] | 6’7” | Church Hill Academy

Tomlin is as under the radar as they come, as the 6’7” forward is a walking mismatch with his mix of size, athleticism and ball skills on the perimeter. He’s a good athlete who can protect the rim and rebound with the best of them, he can step outside and shoots it well from deep and he’s excellent out of the triple threat where he can rip or put it on the deck and get to spots and make plays.

[player_tooltip player_id="1107832" first="Cooper" last="Bowser"] | 6’9” | John Paul the Great

Bowser is a late bloomer of a big man who should have way more recruitment than he does simply based on his size and ability to dominate the paint on both ends of the floor. At a legit 6’9”, Bowser is a load in the paint that can overpower bigs to rebound or finish in traffic, he has good hands and good feet in the post and he’s surprisingly mobile and quick for his size.

[player_tooltip player_id="815584" first="Keyontae" last="Lewis"] | 6’8” | LC Bird

Lewis is the type of player that showed a lot of promise early but had things to work on, and he’s done just that as he’s slimmed down and will really impress coaches who haven’t seen him in quite some time. He’s a load in the paint but he has great finesse as well, he has good touch and good hands in the post and he’s an excellent passer out of the paint and in high-low situations.

[player_tooltip player_id="798705" first="Kyrese" last="Mullen"] | 6’6” | Massanutten

Mullen holds a handful of division one offers but not enough people know about how versatile and productive he is as a 6’6” big man who can play inside-out. He’s worked on his body and gotten much quicker and explosive but he still possesses great strength in the post, he can step out and stretch the floor with his shooting ability and he can finish through traffic regularly.
