PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH

1. Arrowhead

2. Catholic Memorial

3. Oconomowoc

4. Waukesha South

5. Kettle Moraine

6. Mukwonago

7. Waukesha West

8. Muskego

9. Waukesha North

THE FAVORITE - Arrowhead

Arrowhead was second in the league last season. Player of the Year candidate [player_tooltip player_id="953945" first="Mac" last="Wrecke"] (24.9 ppg) is the top returning scorer in the Classic Eight. He’ll have plenty of help with sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="1142119" first="Bennett" last="Basich"] (8.6 ppg), junior [player_tooltip player_id="1141628" first="Austin" last="Villareal"] (3.5 ppg), and senior Jackson Raasch (4.9 ppg), who are all ready for bigger and better things in 2021-22.

TOP CONTENDER - Catholic Memorial

Two years ago, this team was very young, took their lumps, and started to climb late during the playoffs. The Crusaders didn’t have the season many expected in 2020-21, but this is a group that has now played a ton of ball together and has some of the most experience in the league. [player_tooltip player_id="1021594" first="Antwan" last="Burns-Jones"] (10.0 ppg), [player_tooltip player_id="981149" first="Braden" last="McGlothlin"] (13.5 ppg), and [player_tooltip player_id="981027" first="Bennett" last="McCormick"] (13.8 ppg) are all back for their junior seasons. Fellow junior [player_tooltip player_id="1254288" first="Jack" last="Riley"] (5.2) had a good summer as well.

DARK HORSE - Waukesha South

This team started playing some really good ball towards the end of last season. The Blackshirts won 11 of their final 13 games, including a victory over Arrowhead. South has four of their top five scorers back and features one of the most dangerous backcourt in the state with junior [player_tooltip player_id="1115915" first="Tyran" last="Cook"] (18.2 ppg), senior [player_tooltip player_id="761401" first="Marshawn" last="Robinson"] (10.6 ppg), and junior [player_tooltip player_id="1026710" first="Daniel" last="Robinson"] (7.3 ppg).

PLAYER OF THE YEAR - [player_tooltip player_id="1112164" first="Jake" last="Fisher"]

A do-it-all, all-around talent from the point guard position, Fisher averaged 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists as a junior. Fisher shot 53.2 percent from the field and had two 30-point scoring efforts last season. . A skilled, high-IQ prospect, Fisher is one of the most cerebral players, not just in his class, but within the entire state.

BREAKOUT PLAYER - [player_tooltip player_id="1142119" first="Bennett" last="Basich"]

Basich has had a very strong off-season. Playing big minutes for Arrowhead as a freshman, Basich has come back looking stronger, faster, and more confident. The 6-foot-2 guard is skilled and has a three-level scoring package. Averaging 8.6 ppg last season, Basich is poised to greatly increase his numbers in year two.

SURPRISE PLAYER - [player_tooltip player_id="963146" first="Logan" last="Arndt"]

Arndt was banged up last season and didn’t make a varsity appearance. A top 30 prospect in the class of 2023, Arndt could bust onto the scene in the Classic Eight Conference. A tough, two-way guard who can create shots, make athletic plays on both ends of the ball, and win 50-50 balls, Arndt could be a big reason why Oconomowoc makes a move towards being a title contender in 2021-22.
