The Fall is approaching and college programs have shifted their attention to preparing for next season and the class of 2022 prospects. ENC is full of talented players in that class that are more than capable of playing on the next level so let’s dive right in to some of the better players and prospects in the are that are still available.

New Hanover HS Guard [player_tooltip player_id="848071" first="Mikhail" last="Pocknett"]: He impressed us during the ECI Team Camp with how well he was able to make an impact on both ends of the floor due to skillset and physique. It’s quite surprising that he doesn’t have more recruitment interest at this point but with a big time senior season we feel that he will see a rise in his stock.

St. Pauls Guard [player_tooltip player_id="1032850" first="Jeyvian" last="Tatum"]: One of the better scorers in the region, he’s proven himself over the years as he has been matched up with a nice amount of talented prospects. Breaking down defenders to get into the paint while embracing the contact once he gets into the paint, we feel like his scoring will translate to the next level without much of an issue.

Southview HS Forward [player_tooltip player_id="1124936" first="Jarod" last="Brown"]: He’s spending his time on the football field for now but once he steps on the court , he will be a player that you will want to keep a close eye on. The impact he makes on the defensive end of the floor is something that coaches on the next level. Rebounding, blocking shots and finishing above the rim are all things you see from him consistently.

Cleveland HS Forward [player_tooltip player_id="577886" first="Dylan" last="Wiggins"]: His performance at the WJG Classic turned quite a few heads, he got off to a quick start in the event, scoring from multiple levels and displaying his versatility. There is plenty to like about what he already is and what he can potentially be as a player.

Wilson Prep Guard [player_tooltip player_id="577831" first="Christian" last="Battle"]: After winning the NCHSAA 1A State Championship they will look somewhat different due to the amount of seniors graduating so we are expecting Battle to take on a much larger role. He’s a quick and crafty Guard that also has impressive shooting range from three point land.

Freedom Christian Academy Guard [player_tooltip player_id="577852" first="Jalen" last="Higgins"]: A player that has been on our radar since he was an 8th grader, we have seen him show flashes of what he can potentially be. His three point shooting is the attribute that catches your attention early on, he has good shooting form and can really get it going when he’s hot.
