Triad First 48 County Clash The Champions: Davie/Yadkin/Wilkes

<p>Davie/Yadkin/Wilkes took home the Triad First 48 County Clash crown in it’s 4th annual running at Shining Light Academy. Here’s an overview of the prospects from the winning squad.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1273218" first="Peyton" last="Compton"] | 5’8 Guard | 2022</p>
<p>Compton was lights out shooting from all over the floor as he was unstoppable on the offensive end of the floor knocking down shots for his squad. He showed off his ability to lead the scoring attack with his perimeter prowess and ability to create off the bounce. Colleges at the DII/DIII level should be in contact with him.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="577860" first="Zaharee" last="Maddox"] | 5’9 Point Guard | 2022</p>
<p>Maddox is an emerging floor general that continues to show his growth as a creator and controller of pace. He did well making a number of impressive passes to set up teammates in spots for points and showed off his range and ability to get to the paint and finish through contact. He likes to play a physical brand of basketball as a small point guard.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1273237" first="Zymere" last="Hudson"] | 6’1 Guard/Wing | 2022</p>
<p>Hudson was a new face and a pleasant surprise in the Davie/Yadkin/Wilkes rotation. He did well to show off his ability to knock down shots in the midrange and get to the paint and finish. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1273205" first="Jake" last="Powers"] | 6’4 Wing/Forward | 2022</p>
<p>Powers was a solid floor spacer with his perimeter shooting on the floor. He did well to rebound without the ball and find his spots to contribute. He’s a prospect to keep an eye on with a nice shooting stroke.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1273186" first="Cannon" last="Doub"] | 6’1 Guard | 2022</p>
<p>Doub was a solid presence in the backcourt and on the wing as a creator. He showed off his ability to get into the paint and make things happen. As he finds ways to make an impact defensively, look for schools to take notice.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1273206" first="Reese" last="Cleary"] | 6’7 Forward/Center | 2022</p>
<p>Cleary is a raw big man prospect with a ton of potential as an inside-outside threat. He showed nice touch around the rim and an ability to run rim-to-rim. As he gets stronger, look for him to develop.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1273242" first="Jackson" last="Powers"] | 6’5 Forward/Center | 2025</p>
<p>Powers is an emerging stretch-forward option that wasn’t afraid to mix it up down low with the older guys. As he learns the speed of the game, look for him to find his way in NC’s 2025 class.</p>
