Passion Region Finals: 17U Standouts Pt. 1

2022 6-2 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1050046" first="Ahmed" last="Soumahoro"] – Quiet Storm – Berkmar
The freakishly bouncy guard put up 17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in a win over GCPC Stars. Soumahoro is a late bloomer that will have a chance to make a major impact his senior season. His elite athleticism paired with his well-rounded floor game and steady offense will attract college coaches. I like his upside as a perimeter defender. He could be a steal at the right level.

2022 6-5 W [player_tooltip player_id="598752" first="Fabian" last="De Silva"] – Quiet Storm – Eagle’s Landing
Multi-positional, De Silva is capable of impacting games in a variety of ways. He’s a strong rebounder, a good slasher and a diverse defender. His main position is a power wing. He uses his strength to bull his way downhill and finish at the rim. De Silva has a burgeoning jump shot and has shown an ability to play make for others. He collected 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block vs. GCPC.

2021 6-5 F [player_tooltip player_id="948584" first="Franklin" last="Almonte"] – Rome Elite – Dalton State
Heading to Dalton State, Almonte did his trademark damage on the glass and defensively. He’s an elite high motor rebounder that also is a very good shot blocker for his size. Almonte is aggressive in the paint and has an outside jumper that must be respected.

2022 6-0 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1192661" first="Avery" last="Marshall"] – SBT 2022 – Harrison
Marshall poured in 19 points to finish the summer season. He’s developed into a consistent scorer on the perimeter with a good three-point shot. Marshall has good body control on drives to the basket, able to use his frame to shield the ball from defenders. He has shown improvements as a true point guard and continues to get better.

2022 6-5 W [player_tooltip player_id="952587" first="Trey" last="Harris"] – SBT 2022 – North Paulding
It was a 21-point outing to finish the summer circuit for [player_tooltip player_id="952587" first="Trey" last="Harris"]. He’s a skilled scorer with soft touch from the perimeter. Harris shoots it from three and has a really strong mid-range game. Staying aggressive is Harris’ main point of focus. He can take over games when he wants to. His sneaky athleticism has put multiple opponents on posters this offseason.
