The Prep Hoops Circuit concluded with the Grit Region Final. Here we examine the top performances from rising seniors we saw at the event. Check out Grit Region Final: Top 2022 Illinois Performers Pt 4!

[player_tooltip player_id="1210442" first="John" last="Riva"] (Illinois Attack)

Lefty shooting guard was the most consistent performer for Illinois Attack throughout the summer. Skilled wing that can really shoot it from three. When he gets rolling you think everything is going in! High end small college prospect.

Josh Farmer (Illinois Attack)

Farmer was impactful with what he brought on the defensive end. Scrappy guard that got steals and turned them into points on the other end. Gritty two way player that should find a home at the small college level because of his tenacity on the defensive end.

Mason Delaney (Illinois Attack)

Delaney is a plus three point shooter that also showed he is more that just a sniper in Indy as he had a couple of slashes and transition scores that should open minds of D3 and NAIA schools to what he can do at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1198899" first="Sebastian" last="Blachut"] (Chicago Lockdown)

This is a prospect that really grew on us throughout the course of the spring and summer. Athletic guard that threw down some nasty dunks over the weekend taking his man baseline. Solid skill set that is best utilized on his drives getting in the lane for scores. High end small college prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="925209" first="Sebastian" last="Miller"] (Chicago Lockdown)

Miller had a strong game to close the event. The Wheaton St. Francis combo guard is a silky smooth multi level scorer that let it fly with a lot of confidence on his shot over the weekend. One that D3 and NAIA programs should be tracking.

[player_tooltip player_id="1048721" first="Elijah" last="Jointer"] (Chicago Lockdown)

Jointer is a high energy big man from Mt. Carmel in the Chicago Catholic League that presents strength as an undersized post. Physical offensive rebounder that mauls on the glass. Can handle it a little from the mid-post in. Tenacity will be a key trait in his game at the next level and would be a real nice fit for a JUCO with his style of play.

[player_tooltip player_id="1210378" first="Conrad" last="Luczynski"] (Chicago Lockdown)

The tallest player in the state of Illinois in recent memory had a nice closing statement to the summer. The 7’2” center from Bartlett got his post touches and did damage with them on hook shots, seals, and high pointed rebounds for second chance points. Shot blocking presence defensively. He is a little lumbering at his size, but you can’t teach 7’2” and we expect a D2 to take a chance on him.

[player_tooltip player_id="939070" first="Kyle" last="McElroy"] (Grind Family Chicago)

McElroy is a big man from Brooks who we hadn’t seen in a while. The 6’8” five man was a good area rebounder, impacted the game with his shot blocking presence, and even hit a mid-range jumper. JUCOs and small colleges would be wise to track this upside developmental post.

[player_tooltip player_id="1049081" first="Lashawn" last="Pollard"] (Chicago Demons)

Thick bodied 6’4” combo forward from Vocational is a productive player. We liked what he brought to the Demons on the defensive end swatting shots and clearing the glass. Capable mid-range shooter that is quick to the offensive glass. JUCO or small college guy.

Amarion Stephens (Chicago Demons)

Stephens doesn’t get much tick for Simeon, but he showed with the Demons he is worth a look for a small college. Slick handling guard that passes with flair and plays with speed in the open floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="925233" first="Caleb" last="Hannah"] (EBA Ice)

Hannah had an excellent last two months between his high school team and with EBA. Power forward that has tremendous projectability with his length and athleticism. His ability to stretch the floor as a face up four is what really opened our eyes. Drained feathery jumpers with consistency hitting three of them in the 18 point effort we saw on Sunday morning. Also threw down several dunks and was a force defensively flying all over the place. No doubt D2 guy that could get low-major consideration if he takes yet another step forward as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id="1183893" first="Ethan" last="Gallagher"] (EBA Ice)

Lockport shooting guard is a skilled scorer that knows how to get buckets. Puts his head down weaving his way through the defense making contested shots at the rim. Microwave type scorer that a D2 should look into.

[player_tooltip player_id="1210428" first="Frank" last="Decarlo"] (EBA Ice)

Tough and gritty lead guard that is the heart and soul of this team. He is a decent three point shooter as he showed hitting one behind a ball screen. Pushes in transition and brings leadership. Going to be a nice D3 or NAIA prospect.

Zachary Rosen (All-In Athletics)

This Rochelle Zell 5’10” point guard was excellent in a 16 point effort on Sunday. Left handed guard is crafty in the lane with mid-range pull ups, step backs, and got to the line at a nice clip. Can stretch it to three on occasion as well. Scoring point guard that will be a nice fit for a small college program.
