The newest rankings for the class of 2022 were released this week in the state of Louisiana. There were 20 new players added to the rankings along with player movement from top to bottom after a full summer of action which culminated with the Prep Hoops Louisiana Top 250 expo last weekend. In this overview of the rankings release, we will take a look at the top ten, some of the new additions, and highlight some of the movement within the list of 171 ranked players.

The Top Ten
[caption id="attachment_1225282" align="alignnone" width="225"] Photo: Nate Roche - Coach Carver Collegiate Webpage[/caption]
The top players in Louisiana are still headlined by Carver’s [player_tooltip player_id="937609" first="Solomon" last="Washington"] (PH #100 nationally) #1. Solo had a tremendous summer with Team Thad on the Nike EYBL circuit and is very deserving of the top spot. [player_tooltip player_id="781838" first="Percy" last="Daniels"] (PH #189 nationally) garnered the two spot after his summer with Louisiana Elite and Madison Prep followed by [player_tooltip player_id="937608" first="Dorian" last="Finister"] (PH #169 nationally) from Carver at three. [player_tooltip player_id="781860" first="Labree" last="Williams"] (PH #184 nationally) of Calvary Baptist slid slightly to the fourth slot and [player_tooltip player_id="781853" first="John-Paul" last="Ricks"] (#202 nationally) cemented his top 5 ranking after his high level of play at the PH Louisiana Top 250. [player_tooltip player_id="781857" first="Dionjahe" last="Thomas"] made a strong push for the top 5 after his summer on the UAA circuit with Louisiana Elite. He moved past [player_tooltip player_id="981596" first="Alexzaye" last="Johnson"] for the sixth spot. success on the various circuits around the country which helped them move up in the rankings. No player probably impressed coaches more with his skill set other than [player_tooltip Edna Karr. His play during the Mal Mundy Statement Session instantly placed him on the map as one of the better players in the Boot. His combination of defense and shooting earned him an entrance into the top 40 in the state. Not far behind him was [player_tooltip player_id="1270101" first="Tony" last="Walker"]. The Northlake Christian guard/wing had a solid UAA circuit season with Louisiana Elite which helped him achieve a top 40 ranking as well. Airline guard [player_tooltip player_id="1270247" first="Antonio" last="Coleman"] returned from a
