Alabama Evals: Class 4A Area 7 Top Players

Area 7 in Class 4A is home to American Christian Academy, Gordo, Holt and Northside. As the season nears, these are the top five players to watch in the area. Carter Lockridge | 5-10 SG | American Christian Academy Lockridge is a standout shooting guard that displays a lot of poise on the court. He can fly to the rim and attack the glass but can also score from the outside. Lockridge can light it up from beyond the arc and has a nice jumpshot at the mid range level. Dax Warren | 6-0 G, F | American Christian Academy Warren is a great two way player on the court. He can attack the glass and can grab rebounds at both ends of the court. When he has the ball, Warren can space the floor and get an open look. On the perimeter, Warren can use his long range ability to knock down deep three pointers. Kylex Grant | 6-1 G, F | Holt Grant is a great player that can play both guard and forward. He can get to the free throw line and knock down clutch free throws late in games. With his size, Grant can block shots on defense and elevate at the rim for a dunk on offense. He possesses great handles and can pivot past defenders when driving to the rim. He can knock down any open three point attempt or drive inside and find an open teammate if he doesn’t have an open look. Near the rim, Reynolds uses his height to elevate for rebounds and putback shot attempts. [player_tooltip player_id="1044914" first="Lucas" last="Boyd"] | 6-3 PF | Northside Another Northside star, Boyd is a terrific power forward that excels in the paint. He can get to the rim or run the pick and roll for an open shot. On defense, he can block shots and be a lockdown defender in the post.
