The new 2022 rankings are out.

We dive into the positional rankings. We move over to the shooting guards for the senior class.

This group is very strong at the top including the top player in the class.

Here are the top-8 SG’s in the 2022 class:

1. [player_tooltip player_id="1074744" first="Shaedon" last="Sharpe"] Dream City Christian (Pictured)

One of the top athletes in the country shot the ball well from the 3pt line in the EYBL. He is one of the better prospects on the West Coast or the country. Without Kaluma and Nunn, him and Uzan will have to produce in a big way. His pull-up off the dribble is pro-like and he is a fun watch in the open court.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="1227671" first="Chance" last="Westry"] Hillcrest Prep

A mature 3-level scorer is tough to stop. He is hard to keep in front of and makes difficult shots in traffic. He also showed he can shoot it from mid to the 3pt line and will defend multiple positions.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="701238" first="Garrison" last="Phelps"] St. Mary’s

A top-tier athlete defends most positions well on the court. He flies on the break and has impressive body control. His pull-up from mid-range is his weapon of choice and he is one of those players who project well after HS.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="826996" first="Patrick" last="Chew"] Brophy Prep

A high motored two-way guard is one of the better passers on this list. He checks every box with effort and can score it getting downhill and is tough rebounder in traffic.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="706704" first="Dominic" last="Capriotti"] Phhoenix Prep

A sharp shooter gets hot quickly. He has good size for position and has rebounded the ball well in the off season. His toughness and range on his 3pt shot make his game go.

6. [player_tooltip player_id="827004" first="Blessing" last="Nwotite"] Paradise Honors

A defensive guard loves getting downhill but has shot the ball better then last year. He uses his athleticism, quick reflexes and awareness to defend multiple positions and he should have a monster season to try and get back to the 4A Finals.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="1029812" first="Anderson" last="Wilson"] Phhoenix Prep

A versatile all-around guard plays both ends of the court. He uses his thicker frame and strength to defend plus get downhill. He makes good reads to teammates and makes the catch-3.

8. [player_tooltip player_id="1230473" first="Jabar" last="Wheatley Jr"] Taylor Made Prep

An athletic guard plays above the rim on the break. He has a sturdy frame to take contact and he will defend. He is somewhat of a streaky shooter but the IL transplant should have a big year for Coach Edwards.
