The new 2022 rankings are out.

We dive into the positional rankings. We first look the point guards for the senior class.

This group is a strong one of PG’s including 4 of the best in the AIA. (All 11 fall into the top-40)

Here are the top-11 PG’s in the 2022 class:

1. [player_tooltip player_id="954224" first="Dylan" last="Andrews"] AZ Compass Prep

An all-around guard who can score it, defend and make plays for others. At the prestigious Top-100 camp, he was 2nd in scoring. 5th in assists and 4th in steals. The UCLA commit is a 3-level scorer and will try and lead the Dragons back to the Geico Nationals.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="787641" first="Milos" last="Uzan"] Dream City Christian

One of the top pure PG's in the West Coast was also repping at the Top-100 camp. He played with 2 other high level PG's but still managed to be 12th in assists, 16th in scoring and was 6th in steals. The tall PG can shoot it from deep plus play above the rim and is quick on the ball. He was also 5th overall in mins played, showing how valuable he was to his team.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="827007" first="Oakland" last="Fort"] Sunnyslope

A dynamic scoring lead guard for the Vikings. He flies in the open court with en elite burst and insane bounce. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid to the 3pt line and he will defend on the ball.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="701246" first="Nathan" last="Calmese"] Mesquite

A smooth guard who makes plays and scores it from all 3 levels. He has a burst to get into the lane and shoots it well off the bounce and catch. He should avg close to 20 ppg in the AIA this season.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="701265" first="Ahamed" last="Mohamed"] Apollo

A two-way pure PG keeps improving. He grew a little and uses his big wingspan to be a pest on the ball defensively. He has a nice pull-up from mid-range and can hit the catch-3. He drives and kicks it like you should as a PG and rarely turns it over versus pressure.

6. [player_tooltip player_id="1158869" first="Pierce" last="Bazil"] Phhoenix Prep

Another pure PG who can slice up defenses. He plays with a good pace to his game, knows how to change speeds and will shoot it from deep. His advance passing and precision with his passes makes his game go.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="701269" first="Raydon" last="Thorson"] Queen Creek

The top pure PG in the AIA throws the ball all over the court to teammates. His timing and court vision are next level stuff. He shot the ball better from mid to the 3 but he will carry his QC team to a playoff birth this season.

8. [player_tooltip player_id="827006" first="Lareon" last="Ginnis"] AZ Compass Prep

A two-way ball hawk makes opposing lives miserable. His lateral quickness is about as good as it gets with fast hands and feet. He makes plays plus has improved his deep ball this off season.

9. [player_tooltip player_id="932566" first="Dasean" last="Lecque"] undecided

A scoring lead guard is very strong. He takes the ball to the basket and scores it or gets to the FT line. He has nice lift on his pull-up off the dribble and is a capable 3pt shooter.

10. [player_tooltip player_id="1080826" first="Jaden" last="Clayton"] Dream City Christian

Another pure PG type of guard. He is always looking to facilitate and he rarely turns it over. He can make shots from the perimeter and defend on the ball.

11. [player_tooltip player_id="611407" first="Simon" last="Wheeler"] Phhoenix Prep

An undersized guard is a blur. He may of been the fastest end to end player last year on the Grind Session. He makes plays, scores it from the perimeter and gets to the cup in a blink of an eye.
