Battle For Georgia: 2023 Standouts Pt. 2

2023 6-7 F [player_tooltip player_id="820294" first="Eduardo" last="Hendricks"] – Norcross Heat – Meadowcreek
The dual-sport standout had a strong game in a low scoring loss to Promise Elite, finishing with 9 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks. Hendricks is an intimidating forward with great strength. He scores around the rim and draws contact while doing so. Over the course of his career he’s shown the ability to face-up and attack off the dribble and also hit the mid-range jumper.

2023 6-6 F [player_tooltip player_id="820295" first="Jalen" last="Hilliard"] – Norcross Heat – McEachern
At 6-foot-6, maybe close to 6-foot-7, [player_tooltip player_id="820295" first="Jalen" last="Hilliard"] is an inside-out threat. He’s got the length to score overtop inside, but is skilled on the perimeter with a three-point shot and ball skills to take his man off the dribble. Hilliard is an athletic combo-forward that can pinpoint mismatches and take advantage.

2023 6-3 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1231782" first="Jeremiah" last="Edwards"] – Norcross Heat – Dutchtown
I liked what I saw from [player_tooltip player_id="1231782" first="Jeremiah" last="Edwards"]. He’s a wiry guard that gets to his spots. He’s bouncy and can rise up to shoot from the mid-range and three-point line without contests getting in his way. Edwards uses his length to finish at the rim and be a pesky defender.

2023 5-9 PG [player_tooltip player_id="820279" first="Austen" last="Colton"] – Freebandz Celtics – East Coweta
The potent scorer puts up points all over the floor. He’s small, but has a strong compact build which makes up for any shortcomings. He draws a lot of attention with his offense and uses it to his advantage as a very good passer with great court vision

2023 5-11 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1223230" first="Bilal" last="Abdur-Rahman"] – Freebandz Celtics – WD Mohammed
The blinding speed of [player_tooltip player_id="1223230" first="Bilal" last="Abdur-Rahman"] was on full display Sunday as he got the rim at will against the Atlanta Xpress. Abdur-Rahman is lightning with the ball in his hands. He can go coast-to-coast in a blink, able to get to the rim or pull up on a dime. Bilal had his three-point shot working, sinking three long balls as he went for 24 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. He’s one of the fastest ball handlers in the state.

2023 5-9 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1156033" first="Jackson" last="Sousa"] – BCB – Dacula
I love the craftiness and spunk [player_tooltip player_id="1156033" first="Jackson" last="Sousa"] plays with. He provides great energy as a fearless point guard that will challenge defenses with his quickness. Sousa is really good at getting his feet into the paint. He scores with either hand and has a pretty floater to rain in over shot blockers. He posted 13 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals vs. Georgia Stars 2023 Select.
