Battle For Georgia: 2022 Standouts Pt. 3

2022 6-4 PG [player_tooltip player_id="870154" first="TJ" last="Clark"] – Atlanta Xpress – Newton
It was an impressive day of work for [player_tooltip player_id="870154" first="TJ" last="Clark"], a strong guard that stuffs the stat sheet. Clark is able to positively impact games without having to focus on scoring. He’s content with running the offense and making plays on defense. On Sunday, he was aggressive with the ball in his hands and showed just what he is capable of. Clark scored at all three levels against AC Georgia. He hit three threes, got to the mid-range and finished at the rim. Clark tallied 17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. In the title game, TJ was once again steady. He finished with 6 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

2022 6-3 PG [player_tooltip player_id="870162" first="Jalen" last="Forrest"] – Team Forrest – Greenforest
Not many guards can match [player_tooltip player_id="870162" first="Jalen" last="Forrest"]’s physicality. He’s a big body that looks to get downhill at all times. He uses his strength to absorb contact and finish through defenders. The foul magnet went 9-14 from the line against Promise Elite as he posted 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.

2022 6-10 C [player_tooltip player_id="1223250" first="Czykeem" last="Amos"] – Team Forrest – Greenforest
A late blooming big, [player_tooltip player_id="1223250" first="Czykeem" last="Amos"] has terrific length and covers a lot of ground inside as he contests shots. He will need to get stronger, but Amos is capable of finishing in traffic and can play above the rim.

2022 6-7 F [player_tooltip player_id="1130596" first="Jaylen" last="Peterson"] – Team Forrest – Stephenson
One of the springiest forwards in the state, [player_tooltip player_id="1130596" first="Jaylen" last="Peterson"] is always crashing the glass looking for putback dunks. He’s a very good athlete that runs the floor and can catch on the move and finish. He earns second chances on offense and can eliminate shots on defense. Peterson will draw college attention thanks to his activity in the paint and his great bounce.

2022 5-10 PG Malcolm Noel – Promise Elite – Peachtree Ridge
A broken nose didn’t stop Malcolm Noel on Saturday. Tough as nails, he posted 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in a comeback win over Team Forrest. Noel uses his speed to get to his spots on offense. He’s a dangerous stop-and-pop shooter but really impressed with his ability to put pressure on the interior of the defense with his hard drives. Noel went 8-10 from the line.

The versatile swingman plays bigger than his size. Ryen Jones is a bouncy athlete that can compete on the glass with bigger opponents and uses his legs to elevate inside when finishing. Jones can score from the mid-range. Defensively, he’s capable of defending different positions and is a solid shot blocker for his size.
